Everyone loves to play together. A familiar face is a welcome sight in any game, regardless of whether your aiming at it or shooting the evil monster that's about to devour it.

The Best Multiplayer Game award will celebrate the game which not only has an excellent multiplayer aspect, but also encourages gamers to meet up and play together. It will be the game that you stick on when you're in need of the social gaming scene, or even the game which you're never afraid to put on when you've got the family around.

Modern Warfare 2 yea it has its problems but its still alot of fun 2play and no other multiplayer game this year has kept me hooked as much as MW2

Uncharted 2 after it got so much criticism about how it doesnt need multiplayer.... it ruled... people who disagreed with the MP are sure to regret it

i've still been hooked on warhawk this past year, does it still count?? if not then the only other multiplayer i had any interest in was mw2, and i went back to wh after a week...

As much as it can annoy me at times, it's Modern Warfare 2 for me.

Killzone 2 with out a shadow of a doubt, 

Even though it was launched at the start of 2009 and coming up to a year it still feels as fresh and as breath taking as always. This is the benchmark for all future multiplayer and FPS games.
