Re: Home How-To: The Camera!

Thats just the text box, up on screen for when your typing. The photo mode does not remove that or any home overlays e.g. a over lay saying you had a invite would show up if you got it as a pic was taken.

Re: Home How-To: The Camera!

[ Edited ]

I would give this feature a 4/10

Its great... however far from perfect...

The first thing is;

Why the hell does it take so long to load... it takes me about 30 seconds to actually get to it then like 15 seconds to process.

Is the camera feature based entirely on the internet, and the code is streamed over the internet??

Secondly.. the picture quailty is awful, the picture res is pathetic.

From taking a screenshot of possibly a HD displace and then only exporting to  720 x 576 WITH what seems to be a 10x10 border... whats the point???

I wanted this to take pictures of my avatar and paste edit into a signature with photoshop.. yet the quality is so poor and small cropping is almost impossible.

I hope the next update will make Camera loading waay faster and image size like 1280x720 at the minimum

Ok this is the best quailty I could get, zoomed is as much, and this is scaled down.

Also been edited in photoshop for BG and to make brighter and better contrast

Re: Home How-To: The Camera!

Robert, you get a 1280 x 720 image from the camera. Only bad thing i would say there is with the output is that its compressed to much.

Re: Home How-To: The Camera!

The camera saves the display buffer. If you have an SD television, that is 720×576 (PAL). If you have an HD television, that is 1280×720.

Technology is wasted on the ignorant.

Explains a bit... but still, I could expect higher quality from that resolution, the image just seems.. fuzzy.. and compressed.

Perhaps an update for screenshot upscaling and less compression?

Re: Home How-To: The Camera!

i noticed something about the camera that if people are abusing oyu they will take photos of your avatar dres like you and wander over to hurl abuse. This is a new one and quite creepy. I have to keep changing my outfits, it's freaking me out a bit/
