One to add to the list...

Treat others on Home as you would like to be treated.

Should be common sense really, but after the 2 male avatars I encountered this morning it seems as soon as some hit the sign in button their common sense gets switched off. :smileymad:

Reputation, what? Why do people here care so much about 'reputation' online?
Why would anyone even care about what others think in the first place? I reckon that the best advice to give is, treat others the same way they treat you, and at the same time do it all within the rules.

Re: A newbs guide to PS Home

I've tried hard to get a reputation for bloody years. Not succeeded as yet.

I tell you one thing for free:
Noobs HATE their spelling and grammar being corrected. Nothing will make their goat boil quicker. It's all fun.

I say that with experience in the matter. Online reputations do matter. If you go around trolling on Home then wake up one day and decide to be a good Home citizen it may be hard for you to change the way people look at you. People do talk. If you troll someone and that someone sees the troll with one of their friends that person will probably tell their friend what they know of the troll - that they are a troll - therefore spreading the trollers reputation around. Keep in mind that on Home everyone knows everyone by at least 4 people.

That's the basic gist of what I meant.

Apropriate behavior is allways a MUST that is for sure. As far as I know people are free to decide who they want to hang out with, regardless if their friends like the person or not. If people are going to keep hatred towards you just because you made mistakes in the past, then they are taking this game WAY too seriously. And to be honest the only people I know on this game that keep hatred towards others are the forumees.

Re: A newbs guide to PS Home

Reputations are worth only what the person upholding them values them to be.

People that are insecure about themselves will also try to enforce a reputation for other users even if those users change and other members find them to be valued within the community. For example, I have remedied a lot of my dysfunctional and irrational behaviour but have kept the same sense of humour. Even though many are more favourable towards me now, some try and make it out like I'm still the same old person when it simply isn't true. That isn't me having a bad rap, it's simply people not wanting me to have a good rep. Such is life, and the people doing it only make a bad name for themselves :smileywink:

Re: A newbs guide to PS Home

Back to helping noobs:

WHY R MY GAME IN HOME NO WORK? HAVE I LOST....THE GAME? :smileyindifferent:

If you are finding a technical fault within Home or its mini games, please consult the PlayStation®Home Technical Help forum over here !  Be sure to search and see if there is already an existing thread and solution to your problem.

As Home is in Beta (*sigh*) we have a constantly developing platform and it's not without its hitches :smileyhappy: be patient, assess the situation, and you shall preservere!

If you have made a purchase, and it is indeed confirmed faulty with no incoming patch or fix then you should address it in the same PlayStation®Home Technical Help

forum and await a refund. Should there be a delay, take it up with Customer Support by calling 0845 736 0595 or alternatively one of the following if you want to make a cheaper / free call from mobiles and landlines:

+44 (0)1923 653598

+44 (0)1923 476426

+44 (0)1635 869500

+44 (0)2078 595000 (be sure to ask for "Customer Support").

Re: A newbs guide to PS Home

Does that mean we all get Beta-Tester high-vis vests to wear, like I did after LBP2 beta?
And when PS Home goes Gold, will we get a preview pass?
