A positive thread here

OK this might be a first on the forums but I'd like to find out about your positive reactions to Home . I'm as guilty as everyone on the forums for slagging of Home , about the things that don't work and the weird people that use Home .

On the plus side I have meet and chatted with lots of great people , people I would never have talked to had it not been for Home , obviously !!! I've meet people from all over Europe and the world who have entertained and informed me about why and how they live . For all its faults this is a great positive we can all take from being Home users .

I will never meet most or all of my friends I have from Home but that doesn't really matter for me , the fact that we have talked about silly and serious things is what I think makes Home a really good FREE service from Sony .

I'd like to know what the users of this forum think about this , surely the fact that Home enables people from all over the world and from different cultures to chat about issues can only be a good thing ????

Maybe I'm wrong but I hope at least one person shares my views on this .

Please let me know what you all think .

Re: A positive thread here

Thing is Home's good points are always going to be in the shadows compared to Home's flaws but your right let have think positive for a change.

Back when I first experience Home I fell in love and soon became addicted I was on everytime I booted up the PS3. The more and more time I spent within Home the more the addiction grew. Home for me is a release from life and still is.  Despite all Home's problems ( which I'd wish they'd listen to us and fix ) I still like going on Home.

If it wasn't for Home I wouldn't of got the chance to go and meet a games developer and get to test out their upcoming product. If it wasn't for Home I wouldn't of meet the great people that enjoy the same games and interests as me.  Home's also opened up a world of all new games for me aswell. For casual games I just want it to be simple and fun and Home delivers that.

Well the biggest plus on Home for me is the fact that I met so many great people.. some not so great, but others are definitely keepers. Wonderful people from Japan to USA (thanks to global spaces, and this is why I really want those Global Spaces to stick around longer... or permanently) I even got lucky and found someone special :smileytongue:

Here's a little rant: Home has potencial capacitys that the developers don't explore.

Re: A positive thread here

I can pretend I actually have a social life when I use Home, even though I don't use this platform anymore.

Re: A positive thread here

Sure is good for the culture thing. And I gotta say, I've had discussions with people about their contries that I'd be either too embarassed to ask in real life, or a bit worried about getting a bop on the nose for asking. Home delivers me a saftey screen where I can ask ignorant yet enlightning questions about the state of various parts of the world. It's great!
