My bad, they have offices here in the North East, which is why I thought they were UK. They are still an EU firm though, so my point still stands. The new HCL has confirmed we are getting it but lets just see if we get it the same time as the US (I predict not)

Thylaudax wrote:As I promised on Friday in my welcome thread, I have an update for you on the Assassin's Creed 2 costume for SCEE regions.
The short answer I can give you all is a positive one: yes, the Assassin's Creed 2 costume will be released in the SCEE regions.
The longer answer: We're not yet ready to commit to a definite date that the costume will be made available. Unfortunately delays beyond our control have meant that the costume is still in QA for the SCEE region. The team are working hard to make sure the costume is released here as soon as possible. I'll drop back here with another update as soon as I get a firm release schedule, so for the meantime please be patient and we'll get this awesome looking set released as soon as we can.
WOW many thanks for this Thylaudax ,i love assassin so much

Thanks for the update, does this mean that the costume is delayed and undergoing QA in all regions or ONLY EU?
If the costume pops up in the other regions before we get it here in EU, I'm expecting some forum riots...
Qouting my own last reply in this thread. Thylaudax you never answered my question.
And now it does seem really relevant, especially after reading this on the US Playstation Blog:
"Last, but certainly not least, those full Ezio costumes that you all have been chomping at the bit for will appear in the PlayStation Home Mall this week. Be sure to pick these costumes up and show the world how much of an Assassin’s Creed fanboy/fangirl you are."
Are we getting the costume this week yes or no? If not, could you please explain the delay in passing the costume through your QA system, when in my opinion the only localisation involved would be:
the adding of a few text "strings" in the EFIGS(English, French, Italian, German and Spanish) languages?
Basically why did SCEA manage to pass it through their QA and SCEE didn't? Do SCEE have different QA requirements, and thus a single item would have to pass a QA twice if it was introduced in EU? Doesn't SCE have top down QA requirements and single standards for all regions? Or is the delay just caused by the fact that the publisher didn't delivered the core codings/item to your Home team in time?

Reason why US got it as US only has one one language on their home which they use is english, that is why they get alot of things quicker through their system, in europe it has to go through more checks and if this was only released only in the uk and not everywhere else then there would be a that's not fair, we should get it at the same time comment, we just have to wait until it gets through euro dev's q&a's checks before it comes out, we will not be gettting it this week as the content for tomorrow is already on the blog, next week I'm not sure, the only thing at the minute is coming next week is the groove armada concert i think, dax said it will be coming but not yet

No offence Dante, but why can Sony and the Game developers manage to deliver complete games to a worldwide audience at roughly the same time in all regions, But a simple virtual item like a piece of clothing for Home, which only needs some text added to make it work over here, can not be delivered on time?
Now, that's an interesting question!
I may be simplifying the basic issue in some people's views, but enlighten us please why we're still waiting...
TedTheDog promised us during the Dutch/Portuguese Q and A he would do a write-up of what localisation means, I have never seen anything about that ever again. Maybe Thylaudax can explain more, and get rid of our misconceptions what localisation means for content related issues in the EU.
