Bowling Alley

I was at the bowling alley last night with a friend. We went to play a game and ended up quitting after about 2 shots each. They have completley changed the physics of the game. It is nothing like what it was before and nowhere near as enjoyable to play. Anyone else noticed this?? They have changed the pool a bit too but it's nowhere near as bad as what they have done to the bowling.

Bowling has been nerfed :smileysad: I mean they didnt tell us about that now did they?? :smileysad:
i liked the old way was kinda pick up and play easy. This new way looks overly complicated :smileysad: the old bowling took me ages to get any good at this may take me even longer

Re: Bowling Alley

Can someone explain to me why Sony is wasting time breaking things that are working, instead of fixing things that don’t work?  And there sure is a long list of things that DON’T WORK!  :Stupid:

Re: Bowling Alley

Personally I like the new bowling, its re-noobed me and I'll just have to learn it all again, no biggie. I love the overly dramatic slow mo replay too when you get a strike or a spare. Dont give up on it peeps, Im sure all it will take is a few sessions of practice and you'll be getting 250+ scores again.

The pool on the other hand is a lot harder now as they have taken away the aiming dot and while it doesnt play as hideously as the Veemee tables its now a lot less fun to play.

Re: Bowling Alley

i was in the bowling alley last night and its totally ruined, 1st of all it was practically impossible to get in a game with a friend, it used to be so easy to but now took 10 go's. the new bowling system too im not keen on but eventually got to grips with it. the only plus was the replays which are nice. overall tho sony the moral is IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT!!!

Re: Bowling Alley

It's going to take some serious getting used to. I was never amazing before but at least I mostly got spares. Now I'm lucky to get one pin down. When i try and center it I somehow end up going waaaay to the side and into the bunker.

Pool is now impossible as well. I always played it with the camera angle on the eagle eye view but when you do that you don't get the little ball to show where you're aiming. It only shows up when you use the other camera angle. Which doesn't help me out much.

Everything looks a lot nicer, unfortunately I just can't get the hang of it. It's really bringing out my 'CHANGE!? ON THE INTERNET!?' rage. But I'll suck it up and try to figure out how to work it.

Re: Bowling Alley

The way I see it, its just adding extra value as it means we have to learn the games all over again, whats the problem with that really? The bowling alley has been in need of a revival for ages. Just be grateful the space is still there in its current form guys and gals....

Re: Bowling Alley

Actually, I like it. Just got a lane to myself and gave it a few practice ones and now I'm hitting spares again. It's pretty easy to get use to.
ALSO! When my opponent left the game it didn't just finish the game and put me in practice mode, it let me continue playing the game. This is like. Hopefully now I can finish a great game instead of being forced to quit when everyone else sulks and leaves.

The replay is a bit much, but I did enjoy seeing my first strike of the new design again there :smileywink:

So bowling yay but still a big nay on the pool until they let me see where I am pointing the cue on eagle eye camera angle.
