It's completely random if I'm not mistaken. For me, the sparkler only took 10 chips but the reward before that took a few hundred! Just keep chuckin' till you get it.

Yeah the reward before was a small version of the fountain. Took me about 300 chips to get it.

About time they removed that one. And added a New one. They should update this more often...

Riiiiiight so, it's not about getting the chip to balance on the tip of the fountain or something then? Think I've thrown away about 1000 chips on that thing and had nothing from it ever. Heh, I might as well just chuck em away for all the good they do me anywhere else in the damn place...

Yeah I also had to use about 300 chips to get fountain, then about 20 to get the sparkler.  Hope the new reward is a good one.  I finally got my 1 Million chips in total earnings so just waiting for the Penthouse suite.  Hope it's good, and comes with some free furniture items.
