You forgot to mention Kenneth Brannah as Isenbard Brunel, the only part of the ceremony I thought was much Kop.

But yeah all the stuff you mentioned was crap, and poorly coregraphed and looked cheap. I did like that girl's hair who sang abide with me though.

Well Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom so a UK flag is appropriate for you.

Seeing as we're on the topic of the Opening Ceremony:

I normally wouldn't care less about the Olympics but it was on (and I probably wouldn't see it again) and I think it was a 3 and a half hours well spent. It was full of humour and seemed like a lot of time and effort went into it. So, job well done. 

However, there was one part that completely cracked me up and I don't think it was meant to. Well at the point where Emeli Sande was singing (This one --->) 

and these lot were dancing:

 

When the guy stood forward in front of the boy. He began waving his arms around and I couldn't help but thinking he was about to burst into a triumphant  "HADOUKEN!!!!".

Yes, I know most you are probably just sitting there thinking "What the hell is this guy going on about!?" and I understand because I don't have anything to truly show you what I mean but at least I got it off my chest.

I don't care what some others say I liked the opening ceremony yesterday and it was something different.  I liked the era of music, the industrial revolution part which was great and that person on these forums who said it was like the hobbit middle earth they are mad.  It was supoose to represent the english countryside with glastonbury and cricket etc. The cauldron was something different and thought how they constructed it was done well.  Ok so it probably won't beat some opening ceremony's in the past but at least it was different and we shoudn't be copying everyone else we should do our own thing.

The thought police just removed  some banal, inane and pointless posts.

The thought police also thought last night was rather awesome. It seems that many of the billion or so people watching it abroad liked it more than some Brits. Oh well, each to their own.

Now the thought police think you should all play nice with each other and keep your mess out of the threads.

All I have to say on this matter is at least the ceremony didnt contain cats. Then it would have really been a fail.
