E3 2012 Feedback Thread

[ Edited ]

A few E3 threads around here, but I haven't seen one of these so.... E3 Feedback thread everybody!
Share your feedback about this years E3 (Both Home space and video game conference).

Regarding to Home space: I personally think this years E3 was quite great, the Theater and Booth are awesome, well, all Global Spaces are awesome regardless of the design.. but everything was well done, most of the rewards were decent and varied and im very satisfied with the effort Sony put in the space, a Christina Lee NPC model and pre-recorded videos for everytime you completed each quest really added a certain glow to it. :smileyvery-happy:

Regarding to the video game conferences:
The big highlight of this conference was defenitely the gameplay of Watch Dogs (Ubisoft) which i had the pleasure to watch via lifestream, it was funny how everyone in the chat went crazy when the guy started hacking things haha. I really enjoyed Far Cry 3 (TIGERS! 4 Player Co-Op and Map Editor for PS3! :smileyvery-happy:), Assasins Creed 3 and Need For Speed: Burnout Most Wanted, (looks like a promissing Arcade).

Spoiler
Wii U stole Xbox controller, Xbox stole Wii U's Tablet / Mobile Devices feature with 'SmartGlass', Nintendo has Curtains now and Microsoft conference had no games!1! :Stupid:

Really? I'd have said The Last of Us was the show stealer, but then that's just me. AC3 is looking VERY good with the naval fighting too. We all (well, the gamers did) kinda knew about Nintendo's new controller and the SmartGlass form MS though, let's just hope MS put more oomph into that than they did with Kinect.

Re: E3 2012 Feedback Thread

All very nice. Seriously looking forward to Beyond: Two souls. That looks kinda epic.

Also highly considering upgrading my PSP to a PSVita. They're looking like they might actually take off properly in a way that the PSP never really seems to have done. They're looking more and more like what the PSP wants to be, but isn't. Seems alot of games such as Assasins Creed and some others mentions at the conference will have added bonus stuff for having and playing the game on both, or certain bonus's for having related games on the two systems (PS3 and PS Vita).

Pity about the bug on the 30minute reward for the Home E3 Theater, but then none of these things is ever perfect off the start line, which is a shame, but also Life.

Home Tycoon looks good and so does the upcoming Mini-Bots space and game.

There are some interesting innovations shown, though I recall you used the playstation Eye to play Eye of Judgement where the cards came to life, which doesn't seem all that different to the new Book stuff.

Overall though I'd say it's an impressive line up of games and new ideas coming our way, showing that though the hardware may be 6 years old, we're still only just getting to grips with what it can do. Though that said, the PS2 was around for longer and the difference between the games at it's launch, and when the PS3 really took over was huge. Really, is it that much of a surprise that we're seeing the same kind of improvement in game dynamics and options in play mechanics as we did then?

Looking forward to what the future holds in it's secretive grip.

Who knows, maybe in E3 2020 we'll see the Personal 3D viewer mark 2 being announced as shipping with the new playstation along with tactility gloves controllers. Hey, a guy can dream.

The Last of Us was a good display by Sony I have to say, but the attentions were turned to Watch Dogs :smileytongue:. In my opinion both look like promissing titles we'll see within time.

Oh I forgot to give my input about those games, I'm really hyped about Home Tycoon! Just hope they don't make it like Facebook games (you can only do X untill you have a certain amount of energy), I'm okay if they decide to give Playstation Plus members more features, but keep it F2P without limited amount of moves per a certain period of time. Hope we also get Railroads and Airports aswell :smileyvery-happy: The Mini-Bots will be awesome aswell.
