Hi all,

Just wanted to post about the recent outbursts of personal vendettas going on in threads here....it doesn't matter whether you are the original flamer, a responder defending yourself, a person trying to intervene to stop the two opposing parties or people posting sarcastic pictures of people eating popcorn, etc.....whatever your intentions or motives, it is STILL derailing the thread on and on and on, and can sometimes be very disheartening to the OP who was hoping to prompt a constructive Home-related discussion, picture compo, etc.

It's been quite ugly the last few days, and very uncalled for no matter how justified you may feel....it's place is very often NOT in the threads you have been posting your rants in.

If people are deliberatley trolling the thread then that is what they will do...those who know better however, please do not respond in any way; its the only real way to keep on topic with these threads.

Please respect the OPs here by ignoring any personal attacks, flamer statements etc and join the discussions properly please? No more namedropping, etc!

Not trying to be a miss bossy boots here, sorry if it comes across that way, just sharing my feeling on all this....and if any want to flame me here, that's quite ok...I won't respond.

Indeed Fen, Hawk is needed on the community lounge General discussion boards from what I've seen over there of late, you lot take bickering to a whole new level and make us home lot look like noobs at verbal fencing on the interwebs.

Im one of you, I was using the home forum a long time ago, and on home before it was even out ^_^ homebro, thats what us original home users used to call each other, homebros..

Im not one of them gen people, its probably my least used section.. I hate them.

But I agree, they are very good at typing and arguing but we are better than that, better than them.

Not that we should fight or argue with them, they are nice peeps, and lots of them use home too, under different names, they even had a party on home before ^_^

LOL to be fair the Gen lot are really funny even if they are cliquey (arent all forums like that though) Wish id started lurking there sooner, even their gifs are better than over here.

LOL show me an internet forum that DOESNT consist of bored people if we werent all bored we wouldnt be posting here, we'd be doing worthwhile interesting things, like erm sleeping. damn my insomnia.

I know what you mean about cliques, but gen isnt as cliquey as it seems, its more like a piranah tank where all the fish are waiting for a drop of blood. When the drop comes in it looks like there is big swarms of cliques, but its just cause they were all waiting for the same kind of stimuli.

When you take the blood out, it boils down to tiny groups, much smaller than other sections, and they dont mind if the blood comes from one of them or a new person.

Anyway, I was just saying no need to fight cause I want wretched, not really for gd, but to watch films with ^_^ come to our next film night ^_^

I couldn't agree more

I leave you guys for one day and all hell breaks loose!

Please help us in making these Home boards friendly again by reporting any offensive posts or any personal vendetta that seem to be plaguing this forum lately. 

Don't add fuel to the fire, don't feed the trolls and don't retaliate.  Just grief report the post and let the Community Team handle it.

This Home board was coming along nicely, out of the darky murky depths of the troll paradise into a brighter future with rainbows.  We have had the odd bump on our trek but we manage to overcome them eventually but the shenanigans that happened yesterday has pushed us back again.  Although borrowing words from the Kaiser Chiefs:

"You knock me down I come right back up again, I come back stronger than a powered up pacman"
