last time I posted a pic of one of my home avatars it was seen as an invitation for one of my many haters to have a dig and derail the thread before all the remarks were predictably removed. Im not posting any more ava pics in future sorry, as Im bored of the cheap shots and off topic discussion caused therein, and yes I am sulking now.

Just wanted to post about the recent outbursts of personal vendettas going on in threads here....it doesn't matter whether you are the original flamer, a responder defending yourself, a person trying to intervene to stop the two opposing parties or people posting sarcastic pictures of people eating popcorn, etc.....whatever your intentions or motives, it is STILL derailing the thread on and on and on, and can sometimes be very disheartening to the OP who was hoping to prompt a constructive Home-related discussion, picture compo, etc.
It's been quite ugly the last few days, and very uncalled for no matter how justified you may feel....it's place is very often NOT in the threads you have been posting your rants in.
If people are deliberatley trolling the thread then that is what they will do...those who know better however, please do not respond in any way; its the only real way to keep on topic with these threads.
Please respect the OPs here by ignoring any personal attacks, flamer statements etc and join the discussions properly please? No more namedropping, etc!
Not trying to be a miss bossy boots here, sorry if it comes across that way, just sharing my feeling on all this....and if any want to flame me here, that's quite ok...I won't respond.
Have a great weekend everyone!
I couldn't agree more
I leave you guys for one day and all hell breaks loose!
Please help us in making these Home boards friendly again by reporting any offensive posts or any personal vendetta that seem to be plaguing this forum lately.
Don't add fuel to the fire, don't feed the trolls and don't retaliate. Just grief report the post and let the Community Team handle it.
This Home board was coming along nicely, out of the darky murky depths of the troll paradise into a brighter future with rainbows. We have had the odd bump on our trek but we manage to overcome them eventually but the shenanigans that happened yesterday has pushed us back again. Although borrowing words from the Kaiser Chiefs:
"You knock me down I come right back up again, I come back stronger than a powered up pacman"
to be hoenst you dont need us to grief report you see and read the regular people who cause the problems so its up to you to dish out appriopriate punishment and not idle words,As that proved useless,Mods need to do more than just agreeing on some1 posting they've had enough of the derailing,to be honest we all have....

Yes we do need you to grief report as that doomsday we had the other day proved.
As you know these PlayStation Forums have many boards and whilst we do try to be on top of everything, sometimes it's hard to be everywhere at once, especially as the Community Team moderate PSN titles and XMB messaging and other online PlayStation channels amongst other things.
A simple grief report made against an offending post will immediately get the attention of any moderators currently on duty. The moderators on duty may not unnecessarily be me, so you can't just rely on "you see and read the regular people who cause the problems so its up to you" as not all moderators will know the full situation.
The troublemakers from the incident the other day have been dealt with and thus when I came into the office and cleaned up any debris left behind I felt it was only right that I reassure and remind everyone that these forums have a set of House Rules to abide by. They were not simply Idle words, use the words as a friendly reminder\warning that appropriate action will be taken (and has been taken) against any user who breaches the House Rules.
