If you wait to cash in your clumps of soil, the longer you wait the better the chances of getting something decent, or at least that's what is implied from the text that comes up about each lump when you talk to the bloke. I assume that's how you get the Ramphorhynchus fossils.
This was discovered by going to the bloke, selecting th fossils in turn but not actually geting them appraised, then going back the next day after doing some digging with new fossils and going down the list again and comparing while remembering which fossil sizes I already had and comparing from what he'd said the previous day. I've now waitied several days and checked each day; how the bloke describes the chances of each lump having anything in it seems to improve each day. The amount of improvement seems to vary lump by lump however.
Supposedly the girl that shows up three times a month on the 7th, 17th, and 27th days of the month is a bit more generous with her appraisals, so I have been saving my finds for her. Can’t confirm if she is in fact more generous, but at least she is more pleasant to look at. ![]()

Seeing as there was an update recently, I think it gives me a fair excuse to use this thread again.
In Granzella, there is now two lucky charms. Now, what I wanted to know was what is the difference? I know the grey one is a rarity boost in digging but then what about the pink one? I'll really kick myself if I bought a completely useless one...

15 Leaf Fossils
5 Trilobite Fossils5 Ammonite Fossils
4 Ramphorhynchus Fossils
4 or 5 different sized stones
A rusty tin can
An old tyre
A branch
I don't know if it's possible to collect any Ammonite or Ramphorhynchus fossils at this time with the standard tools though [maybe someone can confirm or deny that?] as I haven't got any of those yet.
That mysterious woman doesn't seem to give any rarer fossils than the suspicious man either but she does sometimes find 2 fossils in 1 clod of dirt.
Hope this helps!
OK, So the one's I know of currently are (When placed on the Collection Plates, looking from left to right, row by row from top to bottom unless stated otherwise):
Random items;
5 Trilobite Fossils
5 Ammonite Fossils (Left to right, but column by column top to bottom)
15 Fossilized Leaves:
4 Rhamphorhynchus Fossils
10 Fossilized Corals
6 Footprint Fossils
The ones that just say 'Fossil:' are place holders until I get them. Anyone got anything not on this list (and where it would go on it)?
My main question is; Are there any other Dinosaur bones such as the Mammoth Tusks and Tail that don't have a Collection Plate, but look more like they are meant to be displayed as a skeleton?

That's pretty coincidental! I practically have all the same fossils as you do... No Rhamphorhynchus etc.
Just looking back on Retro's post: I thought there was a branch to find but if it's not a fossil I thought I would have found it by now... apparently not. Also, you said "4 or 5 different sized stones" but are you sure there's not just the 3 Eewec mentioned?
That is all, well for now anyway.![]()

I'm starting to think the branch is a myth! I'll check the stones situation and report back here later for you. ![]()

Nope branch aint no myth i have one and have been awarded it many times when i dont need it,i have finished all the collections apart from the 2 new lots (coral, footprints) which is such a pain as 9 times out of 10 everytime i go to the he/she to appraise i get 1 of them as there were so many, get there eventually though.
