You call it spam but I've never got more than 2 emails in a week from Sony unless I bought something from the Store and they sent a "receipt" and most of the time I only get 1 email a week. Sony isn't the most prolific of emailers in my experience, I get "spammed" a lot more by other companies.

Like I said earlier I got my PS3 the first November after launch and I have my "reward", they are probably just working their way through their mailing lists sending them out in smallish batches so not to get flagged by spam filters and for some reason it was easier for them to work backwards.

I understand why launch adopters are annoyed but big companies work in mysterious ways and maybe there's some weird logic at work that they have not told us about.

I too don't see why those who have been on PSN for only a year can truly be considered "loyal"....maybe they should have been given a bronze PSN code and a silver one for those 2 years old? Maybe launch adopters should have then been given three codes for gold silver and bronze?

cheeky, your account isnt even a year old yet, or is that just when u first used these forums. the first batch of codes was only sent to people who opened their account in the around end of may a year ago.

SilentShadow777 your second guess is correct.....I had to re-sign up for forums as my old account from the PS2 forum days was not working. I bought my PS3 in Nov 2007 when they dropped the price to get rid of PS2 backwards compatible 60GB machines. So I'm not a 3 year owner quite yet....though I'm getting close

I don't know whether it will apply to you, but Mike Kebby on the PS Blog mentioned that there would be more emails going out so the reward may yet come.

It states quite clearly on the website before you choose that "You will only be contacted at this address if you have selected to be contacted by Sony and/or selected third party companies." It also outlines what sort of emails you may receive should you opt in.

By opting out, you choose to not allow us to contact you on that email address. That's a choice you're free to make, however once you've made it we do not have the right to pick and choose.

I have both the PS products and services and the selected third party options selected so is there any specific reason why my inbox hasn't been graced with a code?

I just want to confirm here that we will be sending more batches of codes over time. If you haven't received one yet, it could be that we haven't sent the batch of emails that you are included in just yet.
