Didnt work for me

Strange, mines back to how it use to look.. it's only that massive prompt box on certain items. You sure it didn't work?, as it will show the big prompt box, the very 1st few times, then you will see your HDD on screen, as it remembers you've done it....

This is exactly what I did to fix it at the time. Went to the options, unchecked " show prompts, left menu, went back into menu then ticked " show prompts, Again left menu. Went back into menu & selected (reset prompts)  Then went to apartment, then logged off Home.. Went back on Home & a load of msg's popped up on my screen.. my prompt box was then fixed. (Try that step by step as I did, should fix it )

Soz for 2nd posting... Just gone back on Home, just to see if my fix had reset itself & mine is still fixed. I've logged back onto Home, not gone into any of the settings & it's remembered & saved all my help prompt settings. I can now stand near people without that annoyingly massive prompt box at the bottom of my screen. 

As I said, you need to go to "reset prompts", then when you log back into Home, you will get a load of msg's pop up on your screen if the fix has worked. 

Can we get some more feedback if this fix works for anyone else, if it has.. thx

I did this by accident last week while I was looking through the new menu options and it seems to have solved the problem for me too. I do still get the annoying 'You have targeted an active object' message occasionally though...

I think that is standard Retro mate, some objects are classed as "interactive".. whereas avatars, seats etc, shouldn't be.

No it didn't work for me, if anything it's made it worse as now I get the prompts for everything.

Did you get all the msg's pop up on your screen when you loaded Home back up sam?  & you should get more prompts to start off with, but they will all stop

Yep, but the you have targeted prompt appear on everything now whereas they before it was only on people and a few active items.

Just let it go through it's cycle, once done you should have little to no pop ups appearing.
