Re: Home Moderation FAQ

Hi i may have found a fundemental flaw in the chat log moderation, you see if it was only a chact text interface it would be almost fool proof but as you have a 3d world with free movement and when you submit a report a copy of the chat log is presumably sent well what about things that require sight such a intentional walking over of another ones avatar and dancing in the middle of a converation. Ideas to fix this is a path movement log to see wether the players actually converge ect (seeable a a cross referencable lineart graph corresponding ith a map of the location ) and an abitlity to mask a user completley to allow action against anti social disruption.
It's my time to go now so if you would'nt mind, could you open the gates?

Re: Home Moderation FAQ

When a Grief Report is submited it includes

  • Where and when
  • A copy of the chat log
  • A screenshot

There was another piece of info that gets included but I can't remember what.

Re: Home Moderation FAQ

For those of us who have been suspended from time to time on this Network for whatever reasons, it is true u can only wait it out until the "punishment" is over and u can once again join the community. And when that happens some of u will again most likely be sujected to harrassment, and verbal insults by other users who sometimes rejoice in doing that for their own satisfaction. We have all witnessed this type of abuse going on by others either directly or indirectly affecting you. It seems that the "punishment" at times is meaded out to those being harrassed as well as the harrasers. Human Nature I guess on a mostly free Network. If you are the one being harassed and if you have any backbone at all for trying to defend yourself against such people, and use whatever ways you can think of to push these low lifes away, even using methods that u may know to be against the Rules, and if you are like me who get to the point that you really don't give a damn if your banned or not because certain low lifes make your Home experience so unbearable its not worth coming online anymore, then I personally salute you for standing up to some of these cowardly types that use Home for their own private shooting gallery. And truthfully, the Home managers are trying to curtail as much of this abuse as they can, even if it means unfairly handing out restrictions to people who have been long time supporters and contrbutors of Home Network. The good get thrown in with the bad at times, its a fact of life- but it doesn't mean we have to sit back and take it. So I urge people to use whatever merans they can to combat these low lifes, including Spammers and Hackers who bring down our Home Network for no reason. If it results in u getting temporarily banned yourself, that may be the cost of speaking up, but u will also feel a little sense of dignity that you did fire back, instead of complacently being meek about it. I for one am quite able to unplug Home Network and go elsewhere and that ultimatly means a loss for those who advertise and sell products on it. Having spent by now I'm sure a couple thousand dollars plus on this Network and the game console/games itself over the last three years, I find it rather a very cool slap in the face by the owners of Home Network to mead out their "punishment" that results in this kind of crass statements. Also owning Stock on the Market in Sony.com is a further insult, my only consolation to that is that I get a small stock dividend back every so often. Other than to make postings about this type of thing, there really isn't anything else to do except wait for the "punishment" period to lapse. At least it makes me feel good to vent online and who knows, maybe it might even do some good.

Re: Home Moderation FAQ

I dunno, Lammiroo keeps calling people that refuse to read stuff awesome, and I read Guenivere's wall of text so I'm only guessing that makes me anti-awesome!!!
