I think no moderation in private spaces, but yea that is unclear.

I would imagine that they only follow you into your private apartment when a report has been submitted against you.

Moderators have much better uses of their time than wandering around 100,000+ users' potentially empty apartments seeing if anything bad is happening.

Re: Home Moderation FAQ

The only reason I've reported people are because they find it entertaining to bury their head in my character's lap while I'm bowling.  Any vebal abuse, I can handle as I can simply go somewhere else, but there's NOTHING I can do while bowling.  I've submitted someone multiple times and they're still there!  Even TOLD THEM I WAS SUBMITTING THEM!  It doesn't seem to do anything.  If there is a log being recorded for the text for the past fiew minutes, it's not gonna catch the action of this idiot sitting in front of someone as they do the "agree" motion.

Anyway, an idea I had was for an invisible wall to go up while a session is going on.  No one can enter until the game ends.  I'm sure a lot of other people would appreciate this as unwanted lap dances would end and people could leave their avatars there to "fall asleep" and blocking the view of the players.

How about it Sony?

Re: Home Moderation FAQ

Thanks. This is interesting to read as I reported someone last night for the first time. They were being rude, nasty and giving abuse to myself and a group of friends while we sat chatting. It was obvious they were only out to cause an argument and to insult people. We told him/her to go but they would not listen. It was really sad. My whole group of friends I was with all reported this person so Sony must have had multiple reports all at the same time! LOL

Re: Home Moderation FAQ

I am absolutely fed up with the behaviour of people in home & it's not just limited to males. Night after night i am witness to or subject of abuse & threats & when i am with my female friend she is harassed with lewd comments, surrounded & subject to countless sexual references or propositions. I have been spending four hours at a time on home talking & playing pool since december so i know what i'm talking about.

There is not a night go by when i do not submit a report & i feel because of that frequency it means the guilty parties will probably not suffer any consequences which is wrong. People seem to think because they are in the comfort of their own homes & not face to face with another human being they can voice their racist, homophobic, anti-religious & sexist opinions on some poor soul that's in ear shot. Thank god i do not have a child as i would no way let them anywhere near such an eviroment.

To give you an example last night two males refused to leave my female friend alone near the pool table, they asked to see her breasts & underwear & when asked to leave her alone they switched their attention to me & i became the subject of their abuse as well, not instead of. One was black & called me albino but, i have seen plenty of racist comments aimed at black people & muslims too. I was witness to a female subjecting abuse to a male bowler, bad mouthing islam. The favoured retort if you confront anybody on their behaviour is to be called "homo" or "gay".

Sony or scee has to step up their protection of innocent people & be more visible in their presence of moderation as at this moment in time it is woefully inadequate. Certainly not a platform suitable for under 18's to use or be exposed to.

I am getting a replacement console tomorrow because of a fault with my own & i am considerig NOT installing home but, then why should i let these biggots, homophobes & sexists win & take over ? I have met & made some friends from all over the world.

I am a hetrosexual white male atheist with a girlfriend, i'm not racist & i have muscular dystrophy. None of this is anybody else's business & i don't use home to announce it or share my views with all & sundry. I can only imagine how much more abuse i would suffer if it was common knowledge i was disabled also. It's very dissapointing experience nearly every night now.

Re: Home Moderation FAQ

Be proactive. Report harassers, abusers and people who are acting inappropriately. You do not have to "take it".

As members of the Home community, if we want to see a change in the atmosphere of Home, we must be responsible to each other. Report bad behavior. Do not participate in verbal assaults. Keep your cool. Be better than the person that you are reporting.

Again, be proactive.

Re: Home Moderation FAQ

I don't know if this is posted somewhere else, but what kind of time-frame is associated with action being taken on these offenders?

I once reported a guy like THREE times and he's still there!  When I tell them they're being reported, they don't care.

I've actually quit my bowling games a couple of times it got so bad.

Oh and to add to my suggestion above, when someone quits a bowling game, they should be kicked out of the area outside of the invisible wall that would block off the ends of the benches until the end of the game.  I've actually had one quit and then bury his head in my lap!

Did I report him? Yes.  Was he still there? Yes.  Can we even get some sort of notification when these pervs have some sort of action taken upon them?  I'd like to know.

Re: Home Moderation FAQ

Moderators should be clearly visible in Home. This whole idea of us reporting and invisible moderators is stupid. Do you see police forces around the world hiding in their police stations waiting for 999 or 911 or 112 to be dialled? NO. They are out and about visible at all times responding straight away to calls. How SCEE a company can sit there and say just report them we do have moderators is beyond me. They should be in HOME with a uniform of some kind giving the message they are here and have computer access to SCEE moderator network to ban people and stuff as they see stuff happening. If anything problems on home are worse than the outside world so if police officers have to be on the streets then how can moderators sit in an office, report feature or not.

I think that the idea is that If you don't see a mod that doesn't mean he's not there. If we are able to see the mod at all times than if you don' see a mod would mean that nobody's watching you and people might get ideas.
