My ban turned out to be that i was "impersonating a SCEE official".
Anyone i've been hanging around with on Home will say the same and back me up that i did nothing of the sort. I'm not stupid or sad enough to "pretend", i think i'm a little too old for all that now. On many occasions i have hinted that i was interested in working for SCEE, but that was me saying "i would want to work for SCEE" not "i work for them".
My ban is a total misunderstanding and if they check the chat logs they'll see that i'm innocent and that anything said to me was actually in joke form as some people wanted to know who i do work for, but any direct questioning of "do you work for SCEE?" got the same responce "No i do not work for SCEE".
If my ban is purely todo with some jokes made towards my place of work, tehn this is unfair and wrong on many levels, what would happen if i were to say to everyone in Home i see "omg you work for SCEE" would they get a permanent ban too?
Please hurry up and unban my account... i want my purchased content back ![]()

I guess it's a matter of cost v service.
PSN is free, unlike some other gaming networks. To have comprehensive investigation, evidence, communication, appeals, counter-appeals processes would cost more money that the current situation. The upshot is that the well-behaved users would end up subsidising processes which are only applied to the less-well-behaved.
I'd rather not subsidise these things and take my chances. I don't do anything which comes close to crossing a line so I have no concerns about being banned. For those who push the boundaries, you take your chances and you may end up paying a price.

Sooner that is implemented the better.
I think If you do something against the rules In HOME you should be banned from HOME, Not the PSN all together.

We all agree to the terms and conditions when we log into the PSN but personally I would be pretty upset if my 1000+ pound PSN purchases gone up in smoke just because I lost my cool (I understand those come in degrees) or if somebody reading the logs made a mistake interpreting them.
Now buying a lot from the store should NEVER excempt you from a sanction not even a ban and this is not about class justice that is based on how affluent you are, it's merely a call for a sane balance.
This is why i hate digital content; you can pay full price for it, you have it, but in the end you dont really have any right over it, its as good as rented, the publishers dictate the rules. Honnestly, if DLC is the future of video games then the future looks grim.

After reading through all of these posts, I have come to the conclusion that we stand on a very thin line as to what is acceptable and what is not.
We agree to the Terms & Conditions of PSN which is included with anything that happens while you frequent your PSN account, so if you misbehave online in a game or send some one an abusive message or even simply break the rules of Home, then I guess you deserve to have your PSN account locked for a period of time.
Home is infact nothing more than a game, just like any other game you have purchased, whether it be dlc or from a shop, you still have to obey the laws of the land. I heard mention of a thought that they felt robbed because they were banned, due to the fact they couldn't go online and play games. Well that fact is that any game you have is still playable, just not online via the PSN, obviously unless it's Warhawk or Socom etc ..
When they take your online ability away, it leaves you feeling alone again, like in the former days of consoles
I don't believe these two things need separating, Home is the same as gaming and there are rules!
I have been banned a couple of times, once for not being smart enough to ignore a child like creature that was pushing and pushing for a response, so I let loose
& 2 other times where I think the Mod just didn't like mine or my friends sense of humour and deemed it against the terms and conditions. These were 24 hour bans and I admit at the time I felt the same way, but sitting on the fence you realise that Home and PSN are not two separate things. If you get banned then your access to anything online should be taken away!
This will hopefully serve as a big enough warning to anyone out there to abide by the rules etc..
If you warn some one in Home that they will get booted, banned or even permanent banned, they simply don't believe you...
It does seem unfair that if you have spent a large amount of cash in Home or on the store, that it is no longer accessible, but I guess that's a rule set in place to make you watch what your saying and to adhere to the rules.

Yeh my friend just got banned cos the home cloner following us, told themt o naff off thread got locked. Lets see this will probably get locked too. it's odd because the cloner is a guy in a dress and fancies a guy but the guy wont use headset with them or cam --hello!! it's pixels so the guy dumped his wife for pixels that he dont know if it's male or female. Thus we tried ot relay that to him and my m8 got banned.
I have to say kinda hillarious he's still online with the guy in the dress with no headset he dumped his wife for.
Love is blind
