Ok so since the removal of public voice chat we have always asked about some other form of ingame music for home what im about to post is hopefully a solution or something can be took from it and worked upon so bare with me guys
So say you load up home and go to you pad and invite yur friends around and you all wanna listen to some music and maybe get a party started or if you plan to do this then well heres a option
VIDZONE - since the music is SONY BMG owned and home is a SONY product then the copyright laws wont matter as vidzone is a free service and is pretty much just widely publicsiing music like public voce chat would do
so here the logistics you load up vidzone
now with that done you go to your correspinding song i.e the ones you wanna Ska the night away too ![]()
once you know what you want you select them and add them to a playstation home playlist(shown Below) and a small home icon will appear next to track to confirm you have added it to the Playstation home playlist
Now that you have successfully selected a list yu then log back into home and when you are in the area or apartment that you wish to play the music in you open up your PDA and select the Vidzone playlist area and select which track you wanna listen to
Note: the home icon have been added just as areference incase your own HDD music was able to be played to distinguish via vidzone and HDD
but as you see you have the options to play more could be added i.e play to friends play to the surrouding area etc etc
so with that this little concet comes to an end feel free to dicsuss and as ever i welcome all feedback good or bad

Or just have music playable from the XMB.
Vidzone will inevitably be evolving. Into something like iTunes, probably downloadable tracks, HD versions of videos (both at a price). Maybe the inclusion in Home at one point would be good.
I don't see why Vidzone can't publicly play a few set playlists on a Home video screen. Singstar manages to bias a few artist videos in their space. I doubt rotating videos on a large screen somewhere in Home wouldn't do any damage. (Unless theirs a tiny law which means music can't be played in virtual worlds past 10pm)

Nice idea Spidey Pig...
As Carla said, there would be new contracts to thrash out betrween parties with a vested interest but I guess it would be possible. However, Vidzone runs on advertising, so there would have to be a way of encorporating that into the 'Home version'...
I'm hoping that the powers that be are having a mooch over all the current ideas and chewing on the issues behind the scenes. If we can inspire, then maybe we'll see a hybrid solution - a little of this notion, a bit of that one...
