So we've just been given this great little gadget from SCEE and the Lockwood team, so what do we think of it?

I think it's fantastic. Great design.

Anyways, some people aren't sure what to do with it, so in this thread, write down any new information you find out about it.

So far I found out that to send a gift, it sends the selected user a direct message, via the XMB.

It states in the message for the recipient to collect their gift via the gift machine.

Also, to buy more tokens, it is £0.79 for 80 tokens.

I'm guessing if you want more, you'll just have to keep going back to buy more.

Maybe in the future they'll sell larger packs of tokens.

Oh and you have to buy the tokens from the machine itself.

Anyone else wanna add anything?

Also, I'm not sure if you can only send 6 people a gift ALTOGETHER, or just at one time?

you can send a item to 6 people at once but if the items 32 tokens say sending to 6 people would cost 192 tokens.

Do you know if they will be making their entire lockwood catalogue available for users to select from? This seems very limited at the moment although a nice step in the right direction.

From Lockwoods FAQ

The GiftMachine comes with a selection of items to be sent to all your Home Friends. So currently there is no direct connection with the Lockwood or other store items. However, we do intend to update the selection of gifts on a regular basis. After the success of the Cauldron of the Sunless Kingdom, and all the mails we've had asking about seasonal content the gift machine seemed the perfect way for us to support those red letter days.

What happens if a friend sends you, say a bunch of flowers then another friend ALSO sends you the same item? Does the gift machine see you already have it and let the sender know or do they just lose their tokens?
