Maintenance notifications

Why can't you post info when you do maintenance in home? Very annoying when you are in the middle of playing and suddenly lose connection, without knowing why until you try to restart.

Re: Maintenance notifications

Dont widen the goal posts, you asked why they cant post it when a matainance is gonna happen & they did, just because you didnt use the right channels to get the info thats no ones fault but yours,Are you sure you dont want them to text you when a matainance is happening  saves you even needing to turn ur ps3 on?

Re: Maintenance notifications

TBH, I've always felt that the first place that should get a notification is in Home or other PSN connected software. Forum notifcations should only ever be a secondary point of contact when taking the software down for maintenance.

I remember a time when scheduled downtimes for either Home or the PSN were mentioned in the daily message when you logged in on Home, but that seems to have taken a backseat to advertising the next big thing that came out in the last patch. Pity really.

It's not being lazy ... it's being efficient aswell as saving electric by booting a pc on.  :smileytongue:

Nope, I was carted off to hospital. Yeah I'll have a tour of it. Thanks

Re: Maintenance notifications

They also give Tweet notifications of maintenance. Just follow twitter.com/PSHomeEU

Re: Maintenance notifications

There's a guy moaning about this same thing over in the PS3 general discussion, and no matter how hard I try I can't see it as that big of a deal.

Sure it's irritating when Home goes down for maintenance, but it's hardly a massive inconvenience. It's all just mini games and idle chatter after all.

As for putting a notice somewhere in Home, wouldn't they have to take it down for maintenance to put the notice up? I can't see them live streaming it in or anything. You only have to look at the 4 hour late epic-fail that was the Conor Maynard event to see how well that system works.

For now your best bet is Twitter or here for this kind of information. Just know that they love to do it on Thursdays.
