yay I PLAYED IT AND IT WAS EPIC!

LOL youre too easy to please. running around for five mins wildly swinging a sword at flying beatles and finishing a simple stand on point a then point b to unlock switch at point c puzzle is not my idea of epic.

Perhaps you were just over whelmed by the fact the game decided to work and let you in?

Either way this demo is of a shoddy game that looks like its trying to be Legend of zelda or something. I'll stick to good stuff like darksiders tyvm.

yes the demo is free, but i'll bet you when the game releases it will be full of stuff you have to buy in order to finish it or it will be either impossible or take decades to complete.

The fact its free to play is still no excuse that the controls are clumsy and the premise(albeit in a demo version) is simple. 

I really dont know why Sony are adopting this "fill home with games" approach. Are they SERIOUSLY trying to compete with real ps3 games that have huge teams of experienced programmers and multi million pound budgets during their development. Development on a platform specifically DESIGNED for games might I add. Home is not. Its a 3d chat room first and foremost. Even Home publishers like mass media have gone on record in the past and stated home is a hard platform to make games for due to its technical architechture.

I quite like the controls but... i see your point about it not being free but well we have to wait and see!

In all fairness, the controls for mercia are a lot better than most of the garbage loosely described as games on home right now. Things like the Uncharted 3 shooter or that dredful bootleggers thing for example. However they are still not good enough to make me personally, want to invest time playing them when I can play much better games like Arkham city or god of war 3 with fluid controls, a proper story, and most importantly a key ingredient home games have yet to tap into........FUN.

Darksiders unashamedly borrows heavily from both Zelda and God of War. Vigil games are quite proud of the fact they have taken elements from both these franchises which they themselves are big fans of. If you are going to copy a type of game you may as well pick good ones. Mercia from what ive seen is just a clumsy flawed half baked attempt at an action RPG doing neither combat or the rpg element very well from whats been shown so far.

Hate is a strong word. What I dont like is the fact Sony have decided to turn home into a string of mini games since the client update in 2011 (not the last) where tools were given to publishers to enable them to make it easier to create games for home. Im still waiting for something that doesnt 1. bore me to tears 2. frustrate me due to awkward cam angles and shoddy controls or 3. look like something off a sega master system with BOTH points 1 & 2. Its more to do with games in general on home and not just Mercia which Im sure will promise so much and deliver so little, so like girlyman hair Jack Buser, who seems to be making all these decisions and choosing the direction of home.
