Our forthcoming fantasy RPG game, Mercia: Fractured Realms (a PlayStation®Home exclusive), has got the team here at Lockwood very excited! Scheduled for release in Summer 2012, we’ll be releasing Developer Diaries each week leading up to its launch to give you inside information.

First off we’d like to tell (and show!) you about the game’s art style and how decisions made in the early stages of development eventually determined the game’s final look.

For the visual design we decided early on that we wanted to stay away from the traditional medieval European-based fantasy style.

I'm hoping for the ability to slash at chickens and get me an EPIC CHICKEN BATTLE, just like the Zelda games!

I've said it before and I'll say it again as long as the controls are right I dont care about the artistic merit of games on home. All this hype and marketing twaddle will be for naught if the game handles like a drunk elephant. 

sidenote: what happened to darkens other thread about the gift machine?

This just gets nicer , don't see much of this in Home of late so I'm looking forward to seeing this arrive. 

Also like Wolf said I hope they don't ruin  it by putting portals in it too.

There is still a thread in the Dutch boards posted by Darken though about the same subject(the gift machine). You're prolly right though Krazy maybe Darken did post it prematurely. Silly how they leave all the hype garbage up like this thread but the GOOD/WORTHWHILE stuff gets removed.

sorry about that Furys-embrace i was wrongly informed about the tokens from the Lockwood gift machine .
Not the tokens but, The Gift Machine sale is 50% off certain items, not token packs!

You mean stuff in the machine will cost less tokens to purchase and not tokens costing less money to buy from the store, which is how I read your post originally. No need to apologise either.

Damn, shame that. Ahh well I guess I won't be splurging real coinage on LKWD's stuff after all!

@Fury, very true about the worthwhile stuff getting removed. Still the fiasco that is the top thread ATM is still entertainment. Since I'm stuck in a room on such a beautiful day, it's about the only thing that could bring a smile to my face.
