Noob question about Aurora orbs

Can you only lvl once a day on the orbrunning? Wondering because I run around every day from time to time and collect orbs, get points but it's only 1 time per day I lvl. And sorry for the noobish question, but I couldnt find any info about it.

Re: Noob question about Aurora orbs

I think you can only level once, but your best score of the day counts, so you can level, as long as you improve your previous score

Re: Noob question about Aurora orbs

You can earn so much XP per day but there are boosters available that'll double and even triple what you can earn. You will only be awarded for your best scores so anything you beat you'll get very little additional XP, it's best to do just the 1 attempt and settle on that unless you know you can gain a lot.

Re: Noob question about Aurora orbs

If you can score 1600 on orb runner that will give you the max 500xp per day, but as Loony said this can be increased with the multiplier items.

Re: Noob question about Aurora orbs

I score around 1000, but been getting the message that I have 488 left to next lvl all day. Ah well, thanks for expanding my knowledge and the help :smileyhappy:

if u own the aurora hoody the wings the neon goggles and the island u can make 4000 xp a day.

keep in mind that the hoody only works from lvl 55. so before lvl 55 it will be less but i dont know how much exactly cos i finished it before they releaded the wings. if u buy nothing it will take u years to finish this :smileyfrustrated: because for the higher levels u need thousands of points

If youre geting only a score of 1000 on the public space game, then youre only geting about 62% of the total experience you can gain per day. (1000 divided by 1600 is about 62% total experience).

If you dont have purchases, then the maximum you can gain from the public space game is 500xp, and if only geting a score of 1000 then youre only gaining about 310xp rather than the 500xp maximum potential for free2play players.

However, as stated previously, keep in mind that you can double the maximum gain per day to 1000xp with one of the bonus items (either  Auroralite hoody or Wings). And can then double the maximum gain per day to 2000xp if you buy the other bonus item.

So in your case, if youre struggling to get 1000 score on the game, youd get 620xp if you have one bonus item, or 1240xp if you have two bonus items.  (Because 62% * 1000=620, and 62% * 2000=1240)

Also, keep in mind that you can also effectively double your experience gain each day by also visiting the Aurora Island personal space turret defence game. For free2play players, you can gain an additional 500xp if you get a score of 2000 (by simply visiting the aurora island personal space purchased by a friend). But with the bonus items (hoody and wings), the potential gain increases to 1000xp or 2000xp. So if totaled with the public space experience potential, you can get 1000xp if free2play, or 2000xp / 4000xp  if paying for bonuses.

Lastly, to improve your chances to geting a score of 1600, they sell gold and ideally NEON goggles. Both come with a personal space item which increases time to run the orb game. Gold Goggles give the owner a large avatar sized silver clock ornament, and Neon gives a large gold clock ornament. (the bonus is applied regardless of placing the silver or gold clock items in your place, and the gold clock from NEON goggle bundle gives maximum possible time in game). Also, in addition to having increased time, the NEON goggles also allow you to see orbs worth more points and gives access to an extra island in the public space which typically has numerous higher value orbs.

And in the personal space, they sell a couple decoration items to help increase chances of geting maximum score of 2000. (turret cooldown time reduction= a neon table, and turret gun damage increase=an ammunition box seat) Tho most I meet dont have trouble geting way over 2000 without any purchases if familiar with retro style shooters and hand/eye coordination challenges.

Re: Noob question about Aurora orbs

I'll break down the above for you:
There's a cap on the XP you can earn per day.
This means you can level up more than once in a day! :Winner: but after a while it might take a few days to level up even combining the XP from other games.
You can buy enhancements for the games. My tip to save money though is just buy the Aurora apartment, and play the Orb and the shooter games daily until you are a high enough level to get free goggle upgrades as a reward. This saves you spending more money than need be and getting the benefit of both games to level up with

Max score is 2000 including penalty Orbs but it's physically impossible due to time limit. Some of us have gotten 19XX scores and I've personally gotten 1895, but it's pure luck and skill mishmashed together (orb placement, good connection, good reflex and route planning).

Re: Noob question about Aurora orbs

My response completely breaks it down Edwn, not sure how suggesting people to BUY the Aurora personal space can possibly save them money.

As mentioned in my response, a person can simply visit a friend that owns the Aurora space every day in order to gain the additional XP available there each day.

And the free goggles you get are the silver goggles, not the Gold or Neon, so you wont get the maximum amount of time in game or be able to see the 75 point neon orbs, and wont be able to access the extra island with higher occurance of high point orbs, so odds are you wont get to 1600 goal without at least the upgrades.
