PS3 Home Display Problems

When I try and open Home I'm having display problems it gets to this screen:

And then freezes, I have the same problem with Folding@Home. I've tried 2 HD cables, I've tried different settings but it's still not working. I just don't know what to do. This is a replacement PS3 as I had similar display problems on my first one too.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: PS3 Home Display Problems

from what youve posted id say its an issue with your television , not HOME.

try it on another tv and post back what happens.

Re: PS3 Home Display Problems

Just tried it on the other TV and it did the same, it seems to be a problem with the actual console as it does on some games, HOME and Folding@Home.

I think that's what I'll do. That's what I did last time and they was pretty quick and very convenient but I didn't really wanna go through that process again.

Thanks

Re: PS3 Home Display Problems

Start with a lower resolution setting for the PS3. Looks like your display doesnt support it properly.

What resolution have you got it set at currently ? 480p , 720p , 1080i , 1080p ?

Not all screens support all resolutions

No problem.

Its prolly a HD screen but doesnt support 720p. There are some about that support 1080i but not 720p
