That was very short notice, seeing as I was at college and wasn't aware of any maintenance today. Normally I'd have seen it a few days back.

Very short notice indeed.  Shame really, I couldn't get on yesterday what with the BE/O2 outage and now maintenance today

Out of curiosity does that mean next Wednesday's maintenance/home closure is still going ahead? Or would they bundle it all into this one?

Thanks to Fritches for the link about today's maintenance.  However, I still wonder...

Where does Sony alert customers about "scheduled maintenance?" 

Maybe it's just me, but "scheduled" implies that SOMEONE knew about it beforehand.

So, is there a specific place where these notices are typically posted BEFORE the day of the "scheduled" maintenance?  Alternatively, was that just an unfortunate use of the term "scheduled maintenance" and no such schedule exists (maintenance simply occurs when needed)?

London is a 5 hr diff than i in Atl. So with that said, if it was scheduled for 5 am london then it was scheduled for 10 am Usa/Atl. So the maintence is from 10 am too 5 pm in est

And usually they let you know days in advance.
