Personally, even as a college student, I don't have issues with money so I might be interested in suscribing to a premium service if I felt it was worth it. On the other hand the big advantage of PSN is that it is free. I know other console gamers who have limited funds who aren't happy with having to pay to play their games online.
I just think that when it comes to Home that any major additions/capabilities need to be shared with the entire community. If there are special perks like costumes and clothes perhaps or even an apartment or two, I certainly wouldn't be upset with that per se although it would really depend.
I suspect we'll learn something next month during E3.
That's more or less what I think.

Don't think it will part of it. Most gamers don't use home so adding it pointless in whatever form.
Just feel it would damage home if there was special areas for premium users.
To be fair home already has a premium service in it for content. And I don't take part in it.
Just can't see how it would fit into home.
I see your point about segregating Home users by offering subscribers an access all areas approach, so again that was just a suggestion of what might happen but as you say probably wont.
On you first point about Home not having any share whatsoever in the premium service, well even though I agree with you that Home does not appeal at the moment to large swathes of the PS3 gaming community, I would find it a surprise if Home is not included at all in Sony's plans for this paid service, one reason for this is that there are still a lot of PSN members who use Home regularly and Sony would obviously want to appeal to all cross sections of their gaming community, especially as ive noticed many who do use Home are quite a loyal bunch who have a lot of enthusiasm for it, which I guess is why Home is receiving an ever greater amount of developer support.
All in all if this service does include various Home perks surly this will only better serve not only to integrate Home more into other PS3 functions, but may even encourage general subscribers to use Home more in order to benefit from the full range of features the subscription may offer.

If they made special content on Home for premium members, I would probably leave the service to. It's quite discriminating "Oh, you don't have money, so you can't have this cool stuff!"
But isn't that how the in-world stores of Home already work?
We can't have that cool stuff unless we pay 90% of the time!
If they added more services on top of the existing ones for premium PSN'ers, I wouldn't leave. I would leave however if they took things away from us that we already have as existing Home customers. Let's not jump the gun here!
To elaborate on what I feel Ducky was saying...
If you take an item and make it available to subscribers for one month only. As an example lets say the limited movie promotions. What would be in place to stop them making those promos available to subscribers only?
They could easily have limited items and make them subscription based meaning that if you don't have £50 to subscribe to a premium service you wont ever see them, even if you do spend money on Home. Basically what I'm trying to say is... no matter how loyal you are to the service, no matter how much money you have previously spent... there is nothing that can stop them if they decide to add additional premium subscription features to it on top of an already premium based service.

The premium PSN service will use your Trophys earned and give you perks some witch will be Home credits(look in the PDA you should see this option!) these credits can be used in Home to perchase items, with the server migration this will mean your able to perchase items from werever you are.
I can't see this happening. Not on a premium service anyway, would be very disappointed if that was the case. I have my fair share of trophies but would not support this.

Fair point, you both.
But I've found this tends to happen.
People on the outside will complain to their heart's content about how the system works, but a majority of those same people will secretly spend their money to reap all the benefits. You will see them crusading one minute, and posting photos of themselves in the garb only premium people get the next.
It's like chronic smokers, they moan about the prices constantly going up and getting less places to feed their habit they buy more cigarettes than ever.

As I see it home is a free service with premium content as well, as Jack (US Home Manager) put it "home is a freemium platform" combining the two. I cant see Home (well apart of home) becoming premium services for the simple fact that home relies on its community and consumer base to keep it going. If they took away features and gave them to premium PSN users or gave subscribers more benefits than the others then home will loose its community. Im sure that home will be an exception. Right now Home is a gold mine in proft for Sony so i dont think they have poities ti change that.
Rhough acording to some of you Home was on that survey so something might happen ... just have to wait till next month to find O giess.

Took its time, but inevitably PS+ is starting to provide perks and incentives for Home users.
