This is the update I've been waiting for, WOOHOO! I just bought the 'My Private Hideaway' and the Southern Paradise is one of the best places on PS:Home. Having a passion for archaeology myself you can understand why Southern Paradise and Granzella appeal to me the most. I plan on spending most of my money with Granzella.
I support Granzella and this huge update to the Southern Paradise is going to make PS:Home the place to be. Just sitting here now waiting for the maintenance to complete, with a new PSN card. It's like waiting for the store to open to buy a newly released game that everyone is in line for, even camping out for.
Here's to one of the best developers on PS:Home, thanks Granzella.
I also want to add that Mass Media, SONY and Lockwood are great developers as well for PS:Home. I have purchased alot of items from them. After years of being gone from PS:Home and just returning I am now utterly addicted to it. I am also amazed at how much has been added to Home, I'm blown away. I don't understand all the former Home members who are complaining that Home has been ruined with the new look and Central Plaza gone....really.......really?? It is 100 times better in my opinion. There wasn't much to do when I used to be on it, now there is so much content I'm in Home all day.

Good point Loony, but I'm more of a wait and watch kinda guy. My money has been burned with the empty promises of developers far too many times for me to just buy anything straight off the bat now.
As soon as I see something I like though, I'll be there screaming "PLEASE, TAKE ALL YOU WANT!" lol
For those that are more cost conscious on home, you should read this post over on the NA boards about the true cost of what the Granzella Fossil Game (can you call it a game?) and Museum will cost if you try to complete it. It’s simply amazing how much these developers have managed to make with these micro transactions. My hat goes off to them really for maximizing profits this way, but as consumers we also need to be aware of the total cost of ownership of something like this.
You're absolutely right Avatar, but surely anyone with just a semblance of sense knows how much they're putting into Home? I see the exact same thing happening with nDreams Blueprint TBH. Which, again, is why I'll be holding back. All these ideas are great in theory, but it's the asking price that decides whether or not something will be taken up by me. I spend a fair amount of money in Home now, but I look for the bundles, deals and sale stuff before making an informed decision.
Also, I'll never, EVER buy a personal space without at least seeing a video of it running in real-time. They should give us those in the buying screens actually, regardless of how "hard" it would be to make happen.

That's true KrazyFace I understand where you are coming from. However look at how much a PS3 game cost, what....$49 to $59? Most gamers keep the game until they beat it then trade it in getting next to nothing for it.
I'm guilty of that, so to get everything in the fossil museum from Granzella might cost a pretty penny I know I will have a longer and permanent enjoyment from everything at Southern Paradise than I would...oh...say...like 'Lollipop Chainsaw' that just released recently. What took 8 hours to beat, then what???? Trade it in naturally or let it collect dust on the shelf. Not too mention it wasn't a great game and all, mediocre at best.
I really won't know the total price until I log back into Home after maintenance and total the price up minus the tickets for dig site to see where I'm at. But like in my post before yours I have a great interest in Southern Paradise so I'm willing to buy more items there than anywhere else, but that's me and doesn't reflect other players, so your statement is solid for those that do not frequent Southern Paradise or have the money to sink into it.

Did I miss the part where Southern Paradise is a GAME? Am I doing something wrong?? All I have been doing to this point is run up to the dig site and press a few buttons and then sit back and watch. Activity perhaps, but a game?
The museum is no doubt a beautiful space, although I fail to see why it isn’t a PUBLIC space? Now ask yourself this question. How much would you pay for that space if it were sold as a bundle with everything included? Then realize that you will probably end up paying many times that amount and wasting (in my opinion) hours upon hours to acquire it.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy grinding for items as much as the next guy, but don’t make me grind and take me to the cleaners at the same time. Granzella will NEVER sell this space as a bundle because the sticker shock would scare even the big spenders. I mean I could buy a season pass to a real museum for a fraction of the cost.

Comparing a full-disc based game to an online grinder can't really be done, it's a bit like comparing say, FB Farmville with The Sims. The structure alone means you can't. However, I do understand you comparing the money>time>entertainment derived. A lot of people will justify game prices this way; the longer the time spent in a game, the more they feel they've gotten their money's worth from it. Which is fine. I myself have spent considerable amounts on apartments and furniture to go in them, just because I like doing it and seeing the end result, so, to each their own.
Personally, I'm not a grinding fan, and after about a month of fossil digging I just got bored and gave up. I still visit the space though, since it's usually quite an active place. As for things like Blueprint or Tycoon, well, those remain to show their true colours but, I think it's safe to say that those who are SimCity fans will love Tycoon, and those who decorate will equally love Blueprint. The bottom line with both of these however will be (as is with Granzella) a case of price. Only those completely compelled by each meta-game will sink all their funding into them. And I'm not about to pay anyone a hundred pounds to play with an imaginary city, or for the ability to shift some walls and windows around either.
