Player-To-Player Interactions

[ Edited ]

The other day i was thinking.. wouldn't it be great if we had Player-To-Player (P2P) interactions on Playstation Home? You could have options of what you want to do with the other player. For example you can click X on the player to see their menu, then the list has the options and on the bottom says "P2P" then another list will pop up with the actions. For example; Chit Chat, High-Five, Hug, Kiss, Slow Dance, (Other). Then the player will get the request thus choosing "Yes" or "No".

I honestly think its a great idea and i think PS Home should do it for their next big update :smileyhappy:

If you could... Thank you ^.^

It's just an idea! but I tink it's good :smileyhappy:

Good idea in a perfect world :smileyhappy: unfortunately it will get to the point where there will be 40 males in the square attempting to spam hugs and kisses to females, or grief other guys by doing this to them.

It's a shame, because other worlds have this stuff. I think it's a good idea too!! :smileyhappy: I just fear it's application to Home would be...risky.

EDIT: I did sleep. Just not very well!

Re: Player-To-Player Interactions

I think most of the semi regular female posters on here would like a kick to the balls or slap to the face p2p interaction. Its a nice idea this but as Ed rightly points out it will just be abused by the immature users and sex pests. Perhaps a hi five would be okay but kisses and hugs are a no no.

Re: Player-To-Player Interactions

I dunno you two, if the person receiving the P2P request can turn it down, or even completely off then I don't see why this wouldn't work. I think it's a great idea, but I'd be more interested in seeing stuff like handshakes, footsey-swears and Glasgow kisses. Obviously you'd need something for the lovers, and in these cases these interactions could be confined to personal spaces maybe?

It's definitely something Sony should look at though, nice idea OP.

I'm okay with the friendly ones such as high five and chit chat, now regarding to more intimate p2p actions, that's just a big no from me, its bad enough as it is already without those, just like Ed said it would generate tons of grief / spam.
... Maybe the ability to block someone from sending P2P actions to you, or just allow P2P actions to people on YOUR friends list, it could work I think.

Actually, if it can be toggled on and off what's the harm :smileyhappy: I retract my earlier statement!

Re: Player-To-Player Interactions

It will be game invite spam all over again though, plus it will create antagonism when vest pest man gets refused a kiss or cuddle off stuck-up-babe69 wearing a bikini in the bowling alley.

I think it's a great idea Slash.

If we were to constantly refuse things on Home because of the minority that abuse them, we would have nothing. With the correct safeguards it would be a huge step forward.

Re: Player-To-Player Interactions

I'd love to see high fiving. Like in the Uncharted 3 multiplayer when you get a joint kill with a teammate and get to high five over the corpse. It's awesome, and oh so satisfying.
