As discussed in the other thread we're holding our first community Q&A this Friday with DrVixx.

As I mentioned in the other thread I chose someone I felt was balanced in that they've been critical and has also enjoyed elements of Home. Additionally I thought it would be interesting to get a female angle on matters in this, our first such Q&A.

Dan and I will meet up with DrVixx and her witnesses in her apartment on Friday afternoon and she'll be posting her report in the following days.

We shall do our best to avoid straight out "no comment" answers. If there's something we can't answer we will at least try to explain what the issues are, but there may be things that we simply can't discuss in public. We've not seen the questions in advance, I thought that would be the proper way of doing this. DrVixx will be limited to 10 questions for various reasons such as wanting to "save some for later", making the interviewer think more about the questions themselves and keeping the whole thing to a manageable length.

That said, lets wait and see how it goes and see what we all learn from the experience, not just what sort of questions and answers arise but also the mechanics of doing the Q&A itself. As I've said, this is the first Q&A, its not the last.

No, not filmed but its something we want to look at for the future. A little worried about how long it might take and how tedious the full length version might appear when viewed. And if we edited it.... well, you can imagine the reaction of some of those here cant you. Anyway, a bridge to cross at another date.

Cheers Ted, haven't ever spoken to DrVixx but I'm sure she will do a fine job, other members seem to be think so! Hopefully there will be more to come and lots of different viewpoints taking the healm.

I think it is also think you and Dan should be commended for not looking at draft copies of the questions, it is a welcome break from being tied down by what marketing people want you to say. I also hope that there is not a bad reaction if you cannot answer a question or questions, because it is complelty understandable.

Hope all goes well so this can continue, it is things like this that can bring the community and the officials together so there is less of a 'perceived' them and us.

The new SCEE Blog should make a difference too.

Yes, the SCEE blog will make things a little better and I'll be contributing to that on occasion. However, I think we're all agreed that dialogue is a good thing so even if this weeks Q&A doesnt quite hit the mark we'll make changes and see what we can do to make it better. We have to start somewhere and DrVixx is the first to stick her head above the parapet, brave girl!

anyways question to Ted i know you said this shall be a regular thing or was it the first  but not that last cant remember now

anyways how regular can the community expect to see these Q&A's

I.E. 3 a year , 1 every 2 month's ok you see what i mean

I dont really know yet GG. I also want to do these with the other language communities so they have to be scheduled in as well.

Lets see how long it all takes and how it works out.
