Simple modding?

I was thinking a good an easy free tool would be color or material modifier. I hear people complain about little customization options, but that's because they don't want to spend any money, which is understandable... (I'd rather buy a real plant for twice the price of a virtual one, however I do support that Sony offers payed items for us to contribute to their services)

But if there were some simple modification tools, we (the cheapo's) could all look a little different while still wearing the same!

I'm know a color swatch option for a clothing texture or any UV map isn't very hard.

Heck you could maybe even change the materials of your home. I've got plenty of textures if I could put them on my PS3 and home would allow it I could change my house's floor to a different hardwood, put my walls in the deep red of my real appartment and so on. You could maybe even put pictures of your friends as posters on the wall...

However if this idea were to be executed there would need to be a filtering system for abuse, which would sadly but definitly take place...

What do you think freebies?
