Re: Sodium 2 Ledgendary Racer suits

Fury, Wipeout is one of the purest racing games out there! I don't know how you can say it's dull or tedious, hell, the expansion pack for wipeout HD even has your name on it!!!

Each to their own I guess. I will agree with you that S2 racer is a poor mans wipeout though.

Re: Sodium 2 Ledgendary Racer suits

Im very picky about racing games and wipEout never really did it for me, the floaty fudgey physics just annoyed me. I havent played an arcade racer ive really loved since Need for speed Underground 2 on the gamecube to be honest, although burnout paradise was fun, if a bit flawed.

Re: Sodium 2 Ledgendary Racer suits

What about F-Zero on the 64? That thing made my stomach lurch, future racers were always smoother on the N64; in fact wipEout 64 was possibly the best of all of them from the 90's, and was over-looked in comparison to the so-cool-it's-in-clubs PS1 version. HD (I my opinion) still is the best one made so far though. You should give it a go, they've got a "stabilizers" option that pushes you away from the track edges ;-)

Burnout Paradise RAWKS! And it has the same too rare music option of playing your own tunes in-game via HDD. Do THAT Sodium!

Yeah F-Zero was poo too in my opinion, granted I never played the 64 version, only on snes but that was a enough for me. I guess I just like my racing games to be with cars and have four wheels although I did love waverace64 and excitebike was good making the bikes crash and watching the rider get flung for miles over the dirt tracks in slow mo replays, but thats not racing thats just arsing about.

Anyway back on topic, it would be nice if Lockwood re-release the legendary racer suits in different colours. I want a black one with a silver/mirrored visor so I can make a cobra commander/Cobra viper ava. Yeah i REALLY am that sad.

Re: Sodium 2 Ledgendary Racer suits

Holy!....

Fury I'm surprised at you. You based the F-Zero experience on the N64 from what you played on the SNES!? That's like comparing Super Mario All Stars to Mario 64; you just can't do it!

Just to stay on topic: I think all these suits look stupid TBH. The only time a person should get to wear bits of metal attached to their clothes (or their underwear on the outside) is when they can chuck a car at you for laughing at them about it. Period.

Re: Sodium 2 Ledgendary Racer suits

LOL Krazy. Snes mario kart Vs Mario kart 64 :smileywink: Snes version wins imho. Im not even gonna mention Donkey Kong country V Donkey Kong 64, ooops just did lol

Agreed about the Legendary racer suits though they do look daft, epecially they ladies one which is totally unflattering but all I want is a silver visor to make my cobra commander, not to much to ask surely :smileywink:

Re: Sodium 2 Ledgendary Racer suits

Oh yeah, Mario Kart on SNES is better than any if the others and if you want a Cobra suit mate, you go for it!

I'm all for racers with wheels but I'm a sci-fy junky so anything futuristic makes me go a bit mag-pie really. GT, TDU2 etc are great racers too but for going at 1000mph and having your eyeballs lodged into the back of your head you need something like wipEout.

Re: Sodium 2 Ledgendary Racer suits

WipEout fury is actually on my Hard drive, I picked it up during the welcome back pack last year. I suppose I could give it another go when you go back and finish darksiders lol
