So when do you think the Beta tag will be taken off of Home? It's been in open Beta for a while now... What standards do you think it needs to meet before it becomes "Home"?

Never. In the case of Home it dosnt really mean "beta" it means that its constantly being upgraded.

I'm guessing not until home comes out on the ps4 (if it does tht is) =D

Yeah that's what I thought to but then, I thought about it and, the PS3's Firmware gets updated, Games get DLC etc so do they not fall under the same category? Or is the Beta tag just something for them to fall back on when they mess up?

Never or not for a long time

Reason code needs to be worked on still , example content issues. Also new tools needed for picture frames etc

Home software is still beta , still needs work before not much can go wrong with it.

Standards are

Stable software release or core base and with costs balanced

I guess or they may not have a aim at all

It's not really a beta now, they just like to keep that there as an excuse, it's quite handy I guess, if all else fails, no worries "It's just a beta".

Well erm in the current state home should be clased as BETA since every update we've had for the last few weeks has been broken in some way but to whether the tag will go is anyones guess. SCE like the phrase "Opn BETA" and will keep it in this phase for quite some time.

It doesn't matter, the problems is down to them, and I guess to the third parties also.. But just because they have problems after the update doesn't mean it should still be called beta. It's been out now for a long time and keeping the beta tag on there is not really right considering it's grown to be an established product on the PS3 now.

It's just being kept on there as an excuse to all the problems and things you see, they'll likely just keep the beta tag on there forever, whilst Home is on the PS3 anyway.

Home was actually took out of Beta back in July 09.. but the devs lost the code for the 'beta' tag.. and now they can't get rid of it
