2nd/3rd June

On Tuesday 2nd Jack Tretton will be delivering his keynote speech as part of SCEA's E3 overall show and our colleagues in SCEA will be recording the speech.

As you may be aware, Home does not yet support live video streaming, so they will convert the video once the speech is complete and then make it available for everyone in SCEA and SCEE to view.

So, once its all ready you'll find the speech playing on the main video screen in the Presentation Podium.

Given the editing and conversion process take a little time as does the upload to the servers it will be several hours before the speech is ready. In SCEE we think it will be about 1am on Wednesday morning. However, as an overall experience we thought you would like to see the Presentation Podium used like this. Obviously live streaming is the ultimate goal for this in the future, but in the meantime we hope you find this experiment interesting

4th June

Now lets walk through the plans for the 4th of June and see what will be on offer to communities in SCEE.

There is a slight reorganisation in Threads and you will find a new section listing the items available from ourselves, rather than a partner or game. It’s the PlayStation®Home section and in it you will also find some new goodies, such as jewellery, sunglasses and various clothing. The new items have rather a smart theme this week and the guys will also find a couple of new beards when next in the wardrobe.

After the fun of Watchmen and STAR TREK you might be wondering when the next film promotion will be arriving. June the 5th, that’s when!

Finally Crash Commando™, the fun action packed multiplayer game available on PSN, is being updated to include Game Launching.

The future

Our recent priority change is starting to produce results as you may have already noticed. And now two more spaces are in their final stages of testing. They will not make the 4th of June publishing window but will hopefully be with us soon after, hopefully mid to late June. They are Siren Blood Curse™ and Uncharted: Drakes Fortune.

Beyond these there are quite a few spaces being worked on, some that are part of the plan to catch up with the other regions and some that are as yet unannounced anywhere.
We hope to be able to update you on 3-5 of them in the next few weeks.

ps. There may well be more to this week than listed here. Good surprises are good, right?

good to see Uncharted space is coming soon, but how about or Killzone related announcement? I'm guessing that could be one of those suprises, huh? Am I right?
