Re: Trouble at Hudson Gate

[ Edited ]

I think whatever aggro you witnessed Teeside was a very isolated incident not the norm. Granted, I dont spend long periods of time there myself as I dont like the space, but every time I HAVE been there Ive not once seen any fights, just lots of people talking about dolphins, which is to be expected really or no one talking at all as they are doing something else and waiting for the next race to start.

There are a few spaces that would benefit from an increased VISIBLE mod presence, but I dont really think Hudson is one.

Re: Trouble at Hudson Gate

Hey Tee

If there are people going at it and you don't like it just ignore them. Its that simple.

You can report them if you feel you have to but at the end of the day people are always going to fight - and the people doing it tend to enjoy it. Reporting the offenders is much more effective than having a Mod in each instance which is impossible to do.

Personally I just ignore people fighting so long as its not directed at myself or anyone I know, or the person being attacked dosen't seem to be enjoying the fight.

Teesside-1979,

please add a bit of interpunction in your posts and seperate main message from side comments because it now makes them very hard to read i keep trying to decipher what you are trying to say which can be very daunting & i need to read your posts to see what you mean i am sorry you wont come back to Hudson Gate but honestly i have not seen people fighting there before but on the other hand i am not frequently there to visit as it is not my favorite space & to get back to my main point please make your posts a bit more readable it would be greatly appreciated.

Was this meant to be ironic to prove a point or was this a genuine fail on your part :smileyvery-happy: your post is no better than his.

In fact, it's LONGER and lacks the same punctuation.

It was the former sir. I felt that a little pun was needed to prove my point. :smileyhappy:

To get back to topic, I agree with Fury here. There are a few spaces around that would improve if there were visible Moderators around. The counter-argument however, is that the problem would probably move to different spaces meaning it's not really about the spaces themselves, but the people doing it. Home could do with a clean-up, the people trolling, cursing, harassing, cheating and freezing should get noticed and given disciplinary measures... But that's probably wishful thinking. I know the Moderator staff is not large enough to watch every troll, but it would be good if at least all the freezers would get caught.

I never thought Hudson as such a problematic space, all I see people talking about is dolphy's and the races.

Please use plain text.

I agree there are some spaces which would benefit from moderative presence. The issue here being that not every instance has troublesome people in it and so the reporting function allows moderation resources to be better spent elsewhere.

I would never have guessed that Hudson Gate would be a stage for fighting. Its so blue and playful and technic. I too have only seen people enjoying themselves there racing their Dolphies.

Re: Trouble at Hudson Gate

The problem when you reduce spaces, is the likelihood of abuse increases in each remaining space as everyone is forced to emigrate to them. It's a refugee trolling phenomenon :smileyhappy:
