Hi Folks
Well this is it! The Final Countdown for VCon Weekend. Playstation Home’s very first Virtual Costume Convention. Two days of Mini Events and Social Gatherings offering the Home Community the chance to be part of THE biggest event on Playstation Home! Each days offerings will hopefully give a little something for everyone and whether you attend for 5 minutes or 5 hours it doesn’t matter! The main thing is that you come along and be part of VCon in a way that suits you! No pressure and No expectation. VCon Weekend can be as much or as little as you want to make it so take a look at the daily schedules and drop past as and when you choose. Meet old friends and make new ones, or simply say Hi to fellow VCon attendees… And don’t forget.. it’s not just about the Movie & Game costumes you’ve purchased from the Store. Custom made versions are also welcome too so get those thinking hats on (on sale in threads2) and see what you can put together!

*Although we have the Initial Social gathering at 2pm (BST) in the Main Square, we will also be using this thru-out the day for general meet ups AND we also recommend using the ‘GLOBAL AREA’ as a great way to meet any of our Worldwide friends who will be utilising this space to come along and be part of the VCon magic.*
** There may also be a few Competitions or Games thru each day for some added fun. These will be run live on both days via announcements via this forum and Twitter – We are still trying to work out the logistics and finalise even a few Prizes to add to the weekend so look out for further details over the next few days before VCon kicks off **

Below are the schedules for both Saturday & Sunday and with the exception of some minor tweaking in the final days which will have no major impact are now Official. Take a look and we’ll see you at VCon starting at 2pm (BST) this coming Saturday
And don’t forget to take pictures!!
VCon Day 1: Saturday 3rd July 2pm – Midnight (BST)
2pm “VCon Meet” - Come along to Home Square and say Hi, show off those Movie & Game costumes, perhaps you’ve put together a custom costume from different pieces of clothing? If so why not come and show it off! make new friends and meet up with old ones, Bubble machine corner for the GhostBusters perhaps? Final Fantasy Photo area? You decide how you spend your time. VCon has started!!
3pm “VCon Group Photo” - Everyone to the Uncharted 2 Nepalese Village Space! Assemble on the stairs and face the main Square. Should make for a great shot! click click! The VCon photo album begins.. and it’s a great place for all you Treasure Hunters to get some ‘Adventurers together’ pics afterwards!
4pm “Star Wars Ep7 To The Shops” – Stormtroopers, Clonetroopers, Officers, All Star Wars characters report to the Shopping Centre & Home Square. Be on the lookout for Rebels, guard the Stores and patrol the area stopping anyone in plain clothes for standard Imperial questioning. Maybe someone has the plans for the Deathstar? or know’s where the droids are that you are looking for? … * Star Wars costumes are preferred but we do not want anyone to be left out so for those without these costumes why not come along and be part of the scenario anyway! Any Star Trek characters can expect a bit of a chase! ;-)
5pm “VCon Final Fantasy Costume Competition” – That’s right! But with a very cool twist. Make your own Custom Final Fantasy Costume and enter. Hosted by BeccaJade. For Full details and to register to take part please jump to this thread http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation
6pm until 8pm “Chillax VCon Quiznight” – The Chillax team will be hosting a VCon special Quiz night at their Clubhouse – Full details to follow
8pm “VCon Group Photo” – Did you miss the earlier Group Photo? Or perhaps you want to be in another! Then this is your chance. Head over to the Ratchet & Clank Space and head for the main slope keeping the large screen behind you. The VCon Photographer can get a great shot utilising the stairwell opposite.
9pm “Before we Party Gaming” – Come along to the Bowling Alley in your chosen costume and why not share a game or two with new friends. How about Predators v Marines Bowling! or maybe a MAG Pool tournament!! Come along and chill out before we head off to SingStar
10pm till midnight and Beyond is “PARTY TIME” – That’s right! What better way to finish a day at VCon than by Getting Down at SINGSTAR. Anyone up for Star Wars v Bioshock 2 v GhostBusters in a 3 way Funky Dance-athon? Although I have heard that the Monty Python Knights are the Running Man Champions!! Who dare challenge? Ezio maybe??

4pm “Star Wars Ep8 Rebels Fun Day” – Another Chance for those Stormtroopers, Clonetroopers, Officers, Infact all Star Wars characters to be on the look out for the Rebels of the Alliance! This time tho reports have come in that they have infiltrated the 'Irem' Space so head on over there and check anyone who looks suspicious! You DO want to see their identification! … * Star Wars costumes are preferred but we do not want anyone to be left out so for those without these costumes why not come along and be part of this favourite scenario anyway, be the Rebel that you really are! Any Star Trek characters can expect a bit of a chase just like Day 1 ;-)
5pm “VCon Military Mayhem” – ATTEN….SHUN! Cookie_Monster10 is Hosting the biggest and baddest of Military get togethers. Expect on the spot inspections and plenty of drill punishment if you’re not inline and on time! Want some good guy bad guy fun? 6pm until 8pm “Chillax VCon Boardgame” – The Chillax team will be hosting a VCon special Exclusive Boardgame at their Clubhouse – Full details to follow shortly

This time Kick ****** looks to take the title of VCon Disco King. The Final Fantasy girls will be aiming to rule the dance floor until the late hours but there is a rumour that the MotorStorm Crew will be looking to gatecrash! And don’t forget the casual corner with some of the best dancers strutting theor ultra casual stuff.
VCon Day 2 and Ultimately the Weekend Ends.

***Additional Notes***
PSM3 The UK Gaming magazine will be sending along 'The Bearded One' to take photo's and report on the VCon Home Event for a future edition of the magazine... Look out for him and you may even get featured
Filming will be taking place thru the VCon weekend for a special Home Community TV Feature
Home Magazine Europe will be sending their reporters in for a special report to be featured in Issue 2 of this great new online magazine
We are currently in negotiations to bring not just The Awesome Kevin Butler to VCon BUT the one and only Musterbuster!!.... Yes! That's right! The Mighty MB may be swayed to come along for a one off appearance..... Watch this space for exclusive groundbreaking news! (you heard it here first)
Oh and there may be a few more surprises along the way that we are holding back! so keep an eye out for further teasers & updates

I mean... all that's really going on is... well... what most people usually do in Home anyway?
I may be on Home one of those days and go to a friend... only to notice, nothing has changed except the odd one or two people have a really bad lara croft outfit on
