Home is a good place for a giggle or two if you're in the right place at the right time. Other than that you mostly have to rely on the size of your wallet to keep you entertained..

I agree with a lot of those viewpoints Fury has, but it would be naive to think the microtransaction culture wasn't planned from the very beginning. They took a virtual world platform for Home, and virtual worlds tend to thrive because of microtransactions and not subscriptions.
Of course the microtransactions were planned from the start Ed, its not as if the advertising alone would generate enough income to keep home running. But what im saying is Sony and a lot of the third party publishers quickly realised that people who use home to make GAME friends dont spend a lot of money on home as they actually buy REAL games and so the content that was brought in was changed to appeal to another sort of user (the ones that like to stand around posing in fancy pants and think they are their avatar). Thats why we dont get all that much game related content on PS home now and why publishers like Capcom have walked away who ONLY made game specific stuff.

LOL its not about making me feel better. Its about being RELEVANT. It's no wonder the vast majority of the gaming industry/journalists out there view playstation home as a joke, as its full of IRRELEVANT junk that has nothing to do with gaming. PLAYSTATION home is a social application on a GAMES console, and what do we get? Billions of T shirts, bikinis and pretty hairstyles and dresses as they sell more (virtual) units than a Kratos costume would (although Im guessing that would be a hot seller anyway). Sometimes I dont even think Sony know what home is or for anymore.

I think you should take it up with the consumers rather than the developers. They are only making what sells. I would do exactly the same in their shoes, even if my customers were creeps that pose as women (or transgender) to meet girls and guys they would be filling my pockets after all.
Well yeah, I suppose in a roundabout way you are echoing what I said in my first post in this thread really, about it all being about money and forget about ethics or gaming. Why else have a virtual casino where you can pay real money to play on an application deemed fit to be used by minors (in the NA region anyway) and teens here.
Something I tried to raise DIRECTLY with one of the developers last night at the QA but was drowned out by a sea of nonsense and arse kissing.
