Anyone can develop for home.

It's just up to Sony to judge whether that content will be worth having in their game. I think it's pretty fair to presume Sony will have competitions for the public to submit their art, models, textures etc for content and prizes.

The HDK is already kicking around I think, you've just got a hell of a lot of a better chance if you're a famous brand and/or you can fill Sony's pockets.

That ties in with the money-making side. I dunno about other people but i sure as hell won't buy a shirt with a willy on it drawn in MS Paint. I think it's fair to assume that Sony will probably realise that.

neither would i, obviouslt the designs would have to be worth buying. it just seems like some people have already decided that it would never happen, its just a suggestion. I  dont care if they do or they dont i just thought id suggest it. so far most of the stuff in this forum has been pessimistic.

Wouldn't worry about the pessimists, they'll be off playing the "amazingly involving and action packed" Halo.

 I'm hoping that any user generated content will come from contests on a regular basis, monthly or quarterly. That way it gives people a chance to show their worth and we'll really have the best of the best on sale. Even a system where us users vote for our favourite entry and which one we'd most likely buy would be good for Sony.

I really hope they've taken this kind of involvement into account.
