Re: ps home bowling alley&pool tables

[ Edited ]
Please do not make assumptions about me. The bowling alley is the reason I go on home (apart from checking out new spaces, but thats only on the one day) and I have played a ridiculous amount of pool and bowling there over the past two and half years that I've used Home. I do care that the pool has changed and I have infact mentioned this on several occasions. However the fact that life gives me bigger problems, means that this, well this is something that doesn't need to be approached with irrational behaviour.
I have friends who work in the industry and I've learnt how awful it is to see things from their side; when they work hard on something and gamers, who are among some of the worst for being demanding and rude, just yell back about it. Nothing constructive, and not even a thank you for the bits that do go right.
I'm just posting here to try and help bring some rationality into it, but I should know better than to argue against the whole 'change on the internet' backlash. Home is home, it's always changing. The only thing I really hated to see changed was the Home square, but even then all I will say is 'I miss it, it looked nicer.' instead of insulting Sony and any that like it, as some people in this thread have done.

They will sort the pool tables out. They may not see your ranting and raving on here but they will notice the big decrease in traffic around the pool table areas and that's pretty telling. For that reason I don't see a need to get over emotional about it.

Re: ps home bowling alley&pool tables

Due to a serious case of insomnia that I'm going through at the moment I've played a bit of Home pool recently and come to see its not that bad , I got used to it quite quickly . The only thing I think is a mistake is the top down view where you cannot view where the ball will go other than that practice makes perfect !!!!

Re: ps home bowling alley&pool tables

The pool tables  are dreadful there's  no hiding  the fact  just  go in the bowling  ally its empty  that's  because its annoying the cue ball doesn't  go were you aim .. anyone  who knows the game  couldn't  think  its a good  pool  game   so just  discounting  that opinion...but given  up moaning  on here wasting  my time  expecting  sony to fix a issue  or a real  problem  on psh ..

ps thanks  very  much sony for destroying  the pool game  and turning  the bowling  ally  in to a dead space for half my friends  on my list  ....

My thoughts exactly Clare. Graphically the new tables look fantastic. My only dislike is the white aiming dot is gone from the top down view. The pace of the balls on the table feels slower at first too but I just think its more realistic. It takes skill to play now thats all, before it was far too easy. I'm far from a pro and would only play a handful of games a week on the old tables, but even ive potted all balls and black from break so god knows what all this lot that played it all the time could do. Its just a pity that rather than 'learning' how the tables work most people will have one game see they arent ronnie o'sullivan on the cloth any more like the old tables allowed them to be, say the tables are crap and not go back..

Re: ps home bowling alley&pool tables

New pool tables are just really really bad. Even the controlls are backwards. Why would they do somethin as stupid as makin controls backwards. The old tables wer far more realistic your talkin rubbish if u sayin the new tables are more realistic. Its not the look of the tables thats the prob here. Its how it plays. Sony fix wat needs fixin n leave stuff alone that dsnt.

Re: ps home bowling alley&pool tables

LOL I play pool in real life and even used to have a slate bed pool table in my house so I know exactly what a REAL pool table runs like and the old tables NEVER played like the real thing either. Your arguement there is ridiculous.

Re: ps home bowling alley&pool tables

I said the old tables played allot more realistic not exactly like real thing jeeez. New tables are a backwards step. Why make somethin worse why cant u see that.
