ok we all know that the reoson we are not aloud pictures, music and video is because of copyright problems... both streaming music to many users and the risk of people using "innaproriate" pictures in thier home is the one big factor why we have yet to get these.
well considering that this is beta and beta is ment to be the testing stage i think that the devs could make a temporary fix so they dont run into these problems
let me explain what i mean...
within home it is possible to display or broadcast somthing to just one user, so what the devs could do is to not broadcast the music to every user in the room but just allowthe user playing the music to hear it
or if a picture is put on the wall of an apartment then only the user that hung that picture could see it...
i know that home is very cabable of doing this... oh and before any of you flame me saying "whats the point if nobody else can see/hear my music/pic" please remember that this is beta and is for testing purposes only..

have been thinkg about this too
after this no radio in work or we have to buy a licence!! witch is stupid, the best one we had at work waas a tv put in to a moniter case then pluged t a PS1 tv van came round and said we cant use it with out a licence as more thatn 1 person was veiwing it !!!- they never worked ou ***** was a TV!! wh had hidden all the conections and IR remote screen !!
im really wanting pics and music to happen in home, but i do understand all the teething problems we may face
as for coppyright, if i post a pic i took of say my car why should that be held back from other people veiwing it after all its my photo!

10 Points to Cursindor! (sorry, it made me giggle) but minus several million points for adding "please read" to a subject
We're looking at just this. A means of allowing you to play your own music to just yourself within Home. If nothing else I guess the in-Game XMB music player would be better than nothing at all. However, we know music would be a very good thing.
As you say, playing music to others is broadcasting and a licensing minefield and will take far longer if its at all possible.
Picture frames were more a moderation concern but I believe we'll be better able to deal with this issue in the future once certain tools are available to the moderators. Therefore that policy can be reviewed then.

Not wanting to sound like a whinger (for lack of a word that doesn't get bleeped), but surely Sony knew this from the beginning? If they knew that picture frames and music was going to be a minefield, why did they even announce it? Why not wait until they knew if/how they could do it. You know what people are like! I'm not having a go (well, not really) but this is a genuine question. Did the devs think it would be more straight-forward at some point?
To be honest, while I think these things would be nice they're not a very big deal for me. I'm more interest in game launching and the like which I'm glad to hear are on the horizon.
Like I said, I'm not having a go and I know it's still a beta, but sometimes you lot really do set yourselves for a fall, critic-wise.
