Hey guys, I think there has been a misunderstanding of the cost to get into the VIP club in NA.  You can buy one of the mansion personal spaces that cost $15 and get a permanent lifetime membership to the club.  And if you got the mansion garage for free during the welcome back program, then you can buy the needed mansion space for $10.

So $10 will not only get you a personal space that has a lot of other perks tied into it (like getting furniture bundles for $1), but permanent access to a VIP space that is essentially NOOB free.  If you ask me that is a great bargain.

That does seem a little bit more acceptable for most users who are into this type of space, but for me its still not worth it, X7 club just isn't my thing and the mansion's interior design is ugly as sin.
Also being 'Noob free' doesn't always mean peace, there are regular Home users who can be worse than the Home Square noobs so don't be expecting such space to be free of chavy idiots and underage wanna-be-gangsters.

Re: x7 vip club

Pretty poor move which will only result in an empty space sooner or later. The thought of splitting up a community based on what they have purchased is a bad thing and serves no purpose. When the PS Plus space launched I said it was a bad idea and still believe it is to this day. At present the only reason I have a Plus sub (3 months) is because the Play Memories app was the same price as the sub which gave it for free, 2 for the price of 1.

That's a sidepoint though, this is making users who wish to have access spend money on something that they don't particularly wish to own for the sake of seeing some new items before they're released. It will have a severely mixed reaction. Those who gain access to it will defend it for no other reason that they have access. Those who are told to go away at the door will feel hard done by.

Personally I'd rather pay the same price and have it as an apartment rather than a price for 1 week access.

I agree that Sony should not force you to buy “specific” items to gain access, but I look at it as buying a membership into a club that will have a more “seasoned” audience to it.  You don’t even have to visit the mansion if you don’t want, but can still benefit from some of its perks.  As far as the “noob” factor goes, I think that the worst offenders tend to use disposable accounts and wont risk investing anything into them, because they know sooner or later the account will be banded.  If you are forced to buy membership into the club, then you may take threats of reporting more seriously.  Just my 2 cents.

I was sceptical myself of this space at first but it's actually a lot nicer than I expected, and it comes with one thing some Home PS Plus members have wanted for a while, access to early content, exclusive free items and reduced bundles.

Also anyone who had purchased the Mansion spaces or any of the other "Exclusive" items really didn't get good value for money at first, each new perk that comes along only adds to the vaue they paid for... this along with the now 4 reduced pricing bundles for owners of these items (a saving of about $16 I believe).

Of course even with the perks I'd tell people to avoid buying the items unless they feel they're getting their value for money, and it's also questionable if they should have allowed other users access based on other criteria (like how much you've spent on Home rather than just on specific items)

The space is designed by Heavy Water so the graphical quality is better than the drab usually designed by the SCEA team.

I'm sure some of you will just love the flirting mini game inside the space

Agreed..  The video does not really give you a good representation, the space is actually better in person.  And all the perks that are tied into it really do make this a good deal, and one that will continue to pay off as Rachel-xD-88 pointed out.  With early access to content, special pricing going forward, and new perks being added all the time.  And no, I’m not associated with it in any way.  I’m more of a bargain hunter when it comes to spending on home, and this seems like a good bargain.

And I can confirm that the people I have run into in the space so far, do seem more “Home” aware.  It’s refreshing NOT having to deal with all the immature noobs.

Re: x7 vip club

my verdict of the space well i dare say its a sexist mess and since when do people eat cash, gold ingots or diamonds and only 3 songs on the juke box and an exclusive lounge inside an exclusive lounge did sony hire xzibit to make their space.

Yes I agree it's a well thought out Home Apartment but I'd say the apartments made by SCEA or SCEE are prettier. The amount of gold they've used is just tacky.

As for the club I can't justify the amount of money you have to spend to gain a permanent acess to the space.

Re: x7 vip club

Well Fritches, I did a bit of research last night hand figured all the perks of owning a bit of mansion, here they are: If you buy any mansion space for $15, you can then get 300 items for $3, a free Wizards Den space, and the Penthouse, summer house, log cabin and another space (sorry, forgot) for half original price. You'll also gain access to a VIP area in their cinema foyer, and of course a lifetime's entry to x7.

Honestly, the deals that are tied to mansion ownership are becoming increasingly harder to say no. It's getting to the point where you'd be just plain stupid to NOT own a part of it.

The VIP area within a VIP area is pretty stupid though, can't imagine you'd be able to make many friends in there since it'll be so empty. As for the "sexist" stuff, well what can I say? It's all very valiant being all white knight-ish about this nut the simple fack here guys is that there are girls and women out there that understand the business dynamics of these *ahem* "services". For example see Jordan, aka Katie Price. It's simple guys, men are dumb and the majority think with their nether-regions, you can't blame a girl that is smart and pretty enough to exploit this fact. People see it as men objectifying women (and it is) but it's also women taking financial advantage of men. It works both ways.
