Freezes for me too every time I press START. I have tried everything including re-installing and deleting all PS HOME data and files.
Patch required i think

Unfortunately delete the HOME app and or settings did not solve my problem.
Is the HOME team aware of this issue?
In fact, after I deleted the settings and recreated the character I had a few messages which required start to respond and then I was offered the option to open the group page and it froze.
I am not going to touch home until someone has fixed the issue but it would be nice if we know that someone is working on it.
My languange is set to English as I am in UK

Guess what folks!... Its not just Scandanavians!, its every user on Play Station Home Network. And a correction there's nothing wrong with the PS3 game console, its PS Home Network's server system where the problem is apparently. I guess whoever actually owns these servers,(whether it is actually Sony itself - or a sub contractor of theirs that provides the service) that is where the snafu seems to be so..whats the answer to it u ask ?.... probably like everyone else theres a "budget" they work under, and the answer is to throw more money at it. Ever wonder why these Virtual clothing items cost so much?....yep thats right!...the money grossed from these "sales" is what is running these puky servers. We can all only hope that some day, perhaps in another life time we can have a system that no longer freezes and prevents users from enjoying what they have purchased.
I have discovered simply by going to your Harbor Studio Apartment and then go from there to other locations seems to work best. Of course this circumvents the whole idea of ease of access which is what your XMB menu is suppose to give you. I have deleted and re-installed Home Network now at least 6 times in the past 2 years, that comparable to deleting everything on ur expensive personal computer and then reloading all its programs over and over. We shouldn't have to keep doing that!
I've said it before... "I love Home Network, and what it allows me to do- I just wish whoever is controlling this thing could do a better job of serving the millions of "user folks" who by now are getting very very frustrated.

Given the amount of money I spent on HOME stuff it would be nice if someone from the HOME team would official comment on this freezing issues which are affecting everyone and are not country based.
I have attempted everything. I deleted all the HOME related stuff in both the saved folder and the game data folder. I deleted the application, redownloaded everything and as soon as I press the START button the system freezes which forces me to force a hard reset, resulting in an email sent to Sony stating the system has crashed and the PS3 OS doing a file check.
HOME is completely and totally useless now as you can't do much without the navigator.
Can someone at least offer some word of reassurance that the issue is been checked?

Why no one is doing anything about this issue? Where are the HOME developers or the people that should be supporting with this issue? At least in the US you can have a debate with them to help troubleshoot the issue but over here in UK the only thing you get is a wall of silence.
This stupid HOME is still freezing as soon as I press the START button and nothing seems to solve the issue.
I tried deleting the app, the settings ,the script and everything that has HOME in any PS3 folder and re-installed everything without luck.
THis is still an issue and I find it an absolute disgrace that no one from Sony care about this. When it was time to take my money for the content purchase they were happy to do it but now that I need to access the content I paid for and I cannot no one seems to care or be seen.
