So, I suppose the question is what becomes of the Xi boards now that Xi itself is closing. Clearly there is some speculation as well, with little word back from the mods. Clearly there are some of us who would like the boards to stay around, whether for chatting, games, or to keep our post count up. 
So. I have a suggestion, and I'd like people's support and hopefully for the mods to see it as a good idea.
Xi was fun, and we all liked it. There is clearly going to be a sequel, or at least more ARGs in the future of a similar style, for which boards like this are incredibly useful. Also in the meantime, some of us are trying to put together our own games to fill the void, and it would be handy to keep these boards open for that purpose.
So, can we rename the "Xi" boards as the "ARG" boards? Then its available as a constant resource, we can coninue to use it for our own games, and when Xi2 comes around we already have a place we know the congregate. Who kows, nDreams mights be evil enough to set challenges that require remembering good old Xi1, and having this here will be a help to that!
I know less people have been posting here certainly, mainly because there are no puzzles to deliberate, but I think thats because people don't see them as useful anymore. If it was clear that we CAN still use them, I think people will stick around and join in the fun we can generate for ourselves.
So, what do you think? People? Mods? Anyone?!
I would defo like to see this stay even if xi is fininshed. Like Steve and Impy5 said its where we still so certin thing like chat and stuff.
Now i know i don't post as much as you guys but i still look in to see who's around. also as Impy5 we all know where there others will post and we won't be loosing track of where the other people who we've chat too for a few month are gone.

So it is clear that many of us Xi followers, do indeed enjoy our puzzles.
However, sooner or later it will be pointed out that this is a PS forum, for PlayStaion related discussions/debate. Also ARG isn't an accurate title for these types of games and puzzles. Xi was actually an ARG and it was unique to PS Home, so it wins on both counts.
I hate pointing this out, because I want the Xi Board to stay as much as you guys do:
For the community feel of it; for somewhere to meet and exchange ideas with like-minded people; for the puzzles; and the banter that goes with that.
Not forgetting the fact that, it was the Xi Message Board that united hundreds, if not thousands of us together. We made a lot of friends along the way, all of whom were here in the first place, because of our common link - The PS3/PSN & Xi (as well as, our passion for gaming in its many other forms and formats)
Personally, I find it very hard to follow even the PS Home Board, let alone the PS General Discussion Board:
There is an awful lot posted, much of it is irrelevant or duplicated and the topics vary so much that it is hard not to go off-topic even within a thread. The Flaming and trolling also seems a lot worse, some threads get locked and deleted, whereas worse ones don't - It's madness out there 
(I want my Xi cocoon to stay)
So in summary, I hope that one of the following happens:
•1. The Xi Message Board is left fully open
•2. Same as bullet point 1 + we get another ARG soon
•3. Same as bullet point 2
•4. Same as bullet point 3

Okay, I'll throw in my tuppence worth...
I like this forum. The other forums are, for my tastes, far too active; they are littered with the same old repetitive threads, about half the posts are pointless unmitigated pap, and a few of them even appear to have been written by eight year olds using their own custom variant of txtspeak and so are completely unintelligible.
A decent thread can be created and relegated to the second page in the space of about half an hour, being replaced with mindless drivel.
Okay, okay, maybe a little harsh, maybe a little exaggerated, but you know what I mean. Most of the threads I don't even bother with, I just read the titles and carefully decide which ones to take a chance on. I've probably missed some good stuff like that, but I have to do it or the forums become unbearable and impossible to keep up with.
The Xi board was never like that. The conversation here was almost always focused and intelligent and even at its busiest it wasn't difficult to keep up with.
Not that I don't mind the odd bit of inane silliness - hells, I'm famed for it in my own little circle - and we certainly had it here, but it was just the right amount, you know?
I miss that.
