For level-50 I used the Directed Energy Emitters Mk.5 (as these do just as much damage as the gauss gun but 3x faster when upgraded) , and Comet Torpedo Launchers Mk.5 which you should unlock before you get to level 50, and I had everything upgraded to Mk.5! And it still taken me about 10 attempts at the level.. Just make sure you have everything upgraded, the missiles and guns being the most important. These are the best weapons to use in the game as I have found as they are fast and do a lot of damage, I would advise you to keep on doing level 41 to collect upgrade parts (You can tell that's what I've been doing as I have the global record for level-41), or if you're having trouble go down to level 31.
Just make your way through the first wave using any missiles you have and keep your distance from the 'walkers', also keep moving and don't be a still target, once you get past the first wave and the second wave is coming quickly pick up and health and ammo pickups that have been dropped but use your turbo and be quick...
On wave 2 there will be a huge walker that spawns in front of you with 4 of the 'tanks' attached to it, I'm not quite sure what they're called or even what they look like.. They're the fast moving things that open up when you shoot them and you have to quickly shoot at its shield before it basically annihilates you! But before you focus on them make sure you keep well clear from the huge walker and two of the smaller ships will come for you with high speed and deadly guns, it is advised you keep an eye on these at all times making them your priority target as they really do cause some damage when not taken care of.. To deal with them quickly fire about 7 or 8 of the comet missiles into their direction, the missiles should split up and take out both of them.. -Be Aware That These Guys Come Every 15 Seconds Or So!-
Next get the furthest distance from the huge walker as you can but where you guns can hit it and shoot at one of the tanks attached to it, it should have a shield and once you shoot at it enough it will release from the walker and then come for you with high speed, Launch about 10-15 missiles at it or use your guns to reserve some missiles... It should then stop and once you hit it enough it will open up... When it opens up you should concentrate on this more than anything else, even if the 2 smaller ships are coming for you... When it opens up you should shoot at the 3 blue panels at the bottom that you should be able to see using your guns, if you miss them and you think it is going to hit you immediately boost away as far as you can as this thing can take down about 3/4 of your heath.. When you hit the blue panels it will close again, keep on shooting at its outer shield until it opens once more, then fire at any blue panels that are left inside of it... It will then start exploding and then begin moving at a very high speed using lasers to attack you. If it goes near the walker STAY AWAY and just focus on the 2 smaller ships that keep on coming. If it is not near the walker just launch every missile you have at it, usually takes about 15 missiles then it should explode for good, then try to pick up any ammo or nanohealth pickups it drops, you're going to need the ammo, because you're now going to have to repeat this process another 3 times.. Just keep your eyes on the 2 smaller ships that keep coming for you and take them down with their missiles before they get close enough.
Once you have taken down the other 3 following the same method, there will just be the walker left.. Just pick up any spare ammo there is and launch every comet missile you have at it and it should go down like a piece of cake... Once all the enemies are down quickly boost in to where the walker destroyed to pick up any resources
Just remember these four important factors:
o Focus on the two smaller ships
o Keep your Distance
o Collect any ammo pickups and health pickups
o and always be a moving target!
