Home Update 7th May
Let's have a quick run through what's new today and in the coming week:
A new apartment
In Home Estates you'll find our new private apartment, the Lakeside Log Cabin. Its own range of furniture is available from the furniture store.
This week you'll find some new clothing in threads ranging from KILLZONE2 T-shirts to baseball caps to sunglasses.

Information on the next patch
We recently discussed the next patch, 1.20 and how it was delayed by a problem. The dev guys are now rolling this patch into the subsequent patch to avoid the fix causing further delay. We'll bring you a progress update on this towards the end of the month.
Home Update 15th May
THERE’S A PARTY GOIN’ ON!
Xi is hosting the world’s biggest virtual house party. If you’re already playing Xi, just head down through the manhole and take the elevator up to Jess’s apartment. If you’re new to Xi, look out for the graffiti in Home Square and start from there. You’ll need to register with Xi to join in the fun...
The next few months SCEE is changing its priorities on what we bring to you in Home. We have an excellent range of partners in the shopping centre and we now need to focus on getting our range of spaces improved.
This change will require some work here and this may well reduce our content output for a while, probably 3-5 weeks, possibly longer, but the end result should be far more spaces arriving for you to explore.
We have also recruited a new production assistant to help improve our output in general.
Home Scheduled downtime 25th June - Lost Reward items
On Thursday the 25th PS Home will be offline from 5pm and many reward items that have been lost over the past few months will be restored.
- The downtime required to restore the lost items is currently estimated at 8hrs (from 5pm AEST)
- We are going back as far as the Extended Closed Beta for items to restore, but not the Closed Beta
- Not all items are recoverable and items that do not reappear once this work is complete will be lost for good
- It should also be noted that the 25th is not a new content release day, the next is the 2nd of July.

Home Update 31st of August
The MotorStorm Festival roars into PS Home
Check out Game Launching for MotorStorm Pacific Rift and the MotorStorm Sphere for an exclusive PS Home Reward.
You can now get straight into a session of brutal off-road racing from the comfort of PlayStation Home, as Game Launching for MotorStorm Pacific Rift swerves into view.
Game Launching allows you to set up a race directly from anywhere in PlayStation Home, against anyone you meet. When the race is over, you return back to where you were in PS Home to talk about it or set up another game.
Also, everyone that checks out the MotorStorm Sphere will get an exclusive, rare PS Home Reward and can view concept art from the spectacular MotorStorm Space coming to PlayStation Home later in 2009.
You can access the MotorStorm Sphere from the World Map; head over now and get racing with the PS Home Community.
Also with the update above, HOME will be launching a new event in PS Home – the Fat Princess “Quest for Cake”. Based upon the brilliant PSN title, all you have to do is visit the PlayStation Events Space to join in this very special confectionery quest.
In the fully redecorated space you will find eight pieces of cake, locked away in cages. To unlock the cake and feed your Princess you need to search the space high and low for clues, these clues will give you access to the finest gateaux and, eventually, her majesty’s waistline.
If you do manage to unlock all eight pieces of cake, and feed the Princess, a special PS Home reward will be yours – the Fat Princess’ very own throne for your personal apartment.
Follow the link below for video and screenshots + some info on the motorstorm space as mentioned above.
Lastly, (but by no means least!) there will be a few additional surprises in tomorrow’s publishing window (particularly revolving around the undead…) so be sure to log-in and check it out.
