PS Home - status report

1 Reply 335 Views Created 23-02-2013

Strange things afoot with PS Home? Alas yesterday one of my worst experiences on PS Home for a longggg time. Friends were showing in XMB as being online and playing PS Home. I go into PS Home only to see PS Home reporting them as not playing PS Home. So I reboot and they reboot, cleared cache- still the same thing, restarted router - still the same. Strange for there to be such seemingly contradictory reports? Sounds like something lost sync someplace. :-(

On another related note (unless I missed something) I was thinking it would be FANTASTIC if Sony could provide  some form of "status" page (eg http://status.playstation.com [doesnt exist yet!])  that gives up-to-date near to real time information on that state of its network/servers. Rather than constantly re-trying, reboots making no difference, if there was a status report page that served as a one-stop shop that folks could look at to interrogate the "health" of various services then that would be good. I think it would be good if somehow you could check/confirm when your friends playstation was last rebooted, and maybe a specific PS Home diagnostics tool that helps flag up any  connectivity/sync issues, server load problems etc
