PlayStation Home Scheduled Maintenance 13th June 2012

PlayStation Home will be offline from 8AM BST on Wednesday 13th June for routine maintenance. Here is what to expect after the update…

For those who may not be aware, a late addition last week was the PlayStation Home Mansion Garage, which is now available from the Estates store. A mansion really isn't a mansion without an expensive place to keep your rides. That's why we created this over-sized four-door garage. Your showroom comes equipped with overhead lights to help show off your prized vehicles, and even comes with its very own golden Chess and Draughts tables to keep your brain sharp. There is more to this fancy showroom that meets the eye; can you find the missing pieces ? As an added bonus, each section of the PlayStation Home Mansion includes up to 5 unique gold rewards for you and your guests.

When passing by the Casino you may also notice that the renovations are now complete, and we're happy to announce the installation of all new Roulette tables now available in the Roulette & Big Six Wheel Room.  The croupiers are standing by for your play right now! Stop by and have a spin today!

Elsewhere, in a more eerily lit part of PS Home, an abandoned Gothic cathedral rests on the Cliffside above a quiet town. Konami invites you to move in and make this mysterious place your home. Sit by the fireplace, admire the stained glass windows, admire the gargoyle statue or look over the town below from your very own balcony. Furnish this cathedral with a 7 different items including wall statues, rug, bed, chairs, throne, table and pews. Once you settle in, you’ll never want to leave! This apartment is also available for Open House viewings for a limited time. Simply check out the preview on the PS Home navigator and explore the cathedral for yourself.

Also this week, a selection of Zodiac themed statues arrives in the Furniture store. Whether you’re a passionate Scorpio or an adventurous Aries, one of these star sign statues will make a fitting addition to any apartment. If astrological sculpture is not your thing then head over to the Stuff store where three new companions are waiting to be taken home – a fox, an iguana, and a giant spider. There’s also some new clothing in Threads, including the much-requested Corset Bundle for the ladies, and some bombastic bling for male avatars.

Good news for Ninjas fighting in Operation: Defend Edo! The Sexy Ninja series turns the image of the once stoic Ninja on its side. Also available, the Kunai throwing knife. Each one a powerful projectile. This week we're introducing another new item for the Ninja! Come on! Today's the day you become a Ninja and prepare for the upcoming Ninja 2012! Stay Tuned for more details.

Looking forward to getting the gothic church appartment, I will probably splash out on a saggitarius statue as well being a saggi.

I wont be getting the spider pet though as I'm arachnaphobic

Cool update. Looks like there's a little something for everyone. :smileyhappy:

For the record, that dog looks really weird and nothing like a Shiba at all apart from the colour. What's up with the mouth? :smileyvery-happy:

For the purpose of comparison, here is a Shiba.

Nice to see previews for personal spaces are finally coming to this region via the navigator, should boost sales of the gothic cathedral when people see how massive it is, just hope its priced sensibly. Now if only you could add a tab for all the shops on the navi to allow shopping anywhere...

I saw someone wearing that clock in the E3 space the other day and felt thankful we didn't have anything so tacky.

I've cursed us all!

Is this Open House viewing business going to become a regular feature? Because I'd love to have a nosey around some of these places  :smileyhappy:

Re: PlayStation Home Scheduled Maintenance 13th June 2012

Now that's usin' the old noggin'! Why didn't I think of a gigantic, 80's golden clock to hang off your neck?! Now all we need are some golden ear-muffs and some golden rugs, golden windscreen wipers....

Aaaaanyway, update looks good! Curious about the fire jugglers, glad to see the open house is here too. Corsets should give me some eye-candy, it's just a shame this trend won't catch on in RL, lol As for me actually BUYING something, well...
