Often have to Run twice to get changes

When running my code, for some changes I have to start, stop and then start the code again to see my changes. A good example where this always happens is when I change things like fonts or colors on UI components.

Re: Often have to Run twice to get changes

Hi,

Is this behaviour consistent? For example you always have to run twice to see the minor changes like you mentioned or its just sometimes?

Does a Clean, Build and Run make any difference for you?

Re: Often have to Run twice to get changes

Yes, for things like effects and fonts it seems consistent. Mind you, it is really only just for those type of objects. I tend to always press F8, then F5, but I'll do some more tests if you want.

OK thanks for the information. It would be good if you could run some tests when you get some time. I'll also take a look into this later this week.

Re: Often have to Run twice to get changes

Hi niwrA,

We've done a few tests here following your steps, however we were unable to reproduce the problems that you have described.

Just to be clear, please could you ensure that you are closing the Simulator (if you already have something running), try Saving, then building and running and running again. We are running on the SDK 0.98, but if we notice it again, we'll let you know. If anyone else from the community is having similar problems, please let us know.

Cheers,

Re: Often have to Run twice to get changes

Hi James,

I'm on a new install, because my harddrive died (no big deal, nothing lost, and now I have an SSD system drive :smileywink: ). I've tried to reproduce this on this fresh installation, but everything works great now. Just pressing

F5, stopping the program, changing the font size in my stylesheet, and pressing F5 again, works great. I've also tested with both Debug mode and Release mode, and no issues.

Thanks anyway!

Arwin

Glad to hear it's now working. Give us a shout if you have any further problems with this :smileywink:

All the best
