UI Composer won't build xml file.

I have been trying to get the Composer to build my GUI project to XML code to add it to my program. It may have something to do with the fact that in Preferences it doesn't have the path for the IDE, which I'm having a hard time getting it to accept the file path that I give it.

 

Any ideas on what I should do?

Welcome to the community forums!

The UIComposer does not generate XML files for your user interface. It simply generates:
- 2 C# files responsible for the Scene
- 1 CSV file to store translations
- 1 C# file to read in the translations
- 1 UI Composer file for the project.

You can then add these files to your solutions and create a Scene with the UIToolkit. If you would us to provide some pointers, please let us know.

 

You shouldn't need to specify the IDE path. To generate the above files select File > Build from the menu in UIComposer.
