80 new games in development! Yes i did say that correct!

On the anniversary of the moves launch Sony has announced that it does indeed still take the move's success or failure very seriously and to solidify this fact they are hard at work on bringing the full potential of this innovative product to the masses.

The new IP which is only rumoured to be the killer APP that move required called * until dawn* its from SCEA and will lauch possibly in November.

This would brilliant if it is true and also give a much needed kick to get sales on move for xmas period.

SShhhh some people on this forum dont believe in the Move at all, they will pretty much take this post over and scream from the top off their voice that the Move is terrible and Sony have abandond it (even though people prove the exact opposite)

Most Knew that "until dawn" was coming, I did not know that it was a Move Required game.

Move Required titles have been consistanly cheaper than move compatable and good job too as most have been shorter in gameplay.

That also means that this game may have the lower price tag than say the "Lights out" title

Speed upgrade
Been upgraded to 30Mb/s for free from 10Mb/s.

Re: 80 new games in development! Yes i did say that correct!

80 games i love the move although it as a gamer feels slightly cloned from the wii however thats were it all ends as the move does stand tall in it's own right with some of the games it supports soley and secondly take LBP now that games create on it's own but the move adaptiveness along with LBP level creation is a match made in heaven although ive only tested it a tidbit the extra functionality is great

so news of 80 games in development regardless of store retail status i think this is good good news :smileyvery-happy:

Re: 80 new games in development! Yes i did say that correct!

I bought myself the move controller a couple of weeks ago. I was one of the naysayers myself, but i bought Child Of Eden & figured to get the best out of it i'd need a Move. I am now a convert. The move is brilliantly accurate (provided the calibration options are flexible) & fun to use. I particularly enjoyed replaying Resistance 3 with my new Move controller. It actually works really well in FPS and i can see myself using it over a pad should more shooters offer support. I really hope that Move is something thats going to be here to stay, because i think it can offer much more than just novelty casual games.

I hope soem of them at least are more sports games - I got the ps3 move as i wanted realistic sports, like tennis etc, and was hoping that there would be more

but 99.9of the new games seem to be the same thing - they are all fantasy monstor type stories and dont look as though there is any real physical interaction - that sony are just developing more console games for move - there is no real correlation between what you do with the move controller, and what you would be doing if you were really doing that activity in the physical sense

and most of them are not things you would do in the physical sense anyway

I didnt realise that it was selling badly - but cant say i am surprised

personally Id be keen to see the following sorts of things:

A skiing app (desperately - im sure plenty of boarders would also like a boarding one)

Skating, ice skating (again hockey players prob would like that too), figure skating would be a laugh, a rollerblading game

the above would be really cool if they came with some sort of board or something you stand on to give you a more realistic feel of 'sliding' something that interacts with whats happening on screen, ie changes it angle or something.

Guitar hero etc - something that gives you a fake guitair on screen and you do the big rock star act with a backgound (ie a yoostar guitar hero)

Music video composition - something that gives you virtual instruments to 'play' then record, sing and film your music video and submit it to a playstation x-factor type game

a flight simulator - again with a seat or something to make you feel as if you are in a moving object

jet boat and jet ski racing

water skiing, handgliding, parachuting

thempark rides (and disasters) a plane crash in the simulator over a normal looking city (nto some weird black made up thing in space but a green pasture with a blue ski and normal houses etc

stuff that is REAL -

unfortunately Im expecting to see 80 more games with black and grey fantasy creatures, vague plot descriptions which give you no idea what the game is actually like to play and whether its been written so that its actually a good experience in move - and basically nothing on the covers to tempt me to part with $100 (in nz) to see if its any different from the 10,000 other games the same

Here are some images that depict one of the reasons my ps3 move is gathering dust in the corner of my living room - id like to use it for more thaqn just singstar and yoostar parties - so i hope that playstation will eventually star coming out with something looks a lot LESS like these:

and More games that try and give a PS3 Move owner and experience something like these things:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiIoGx8VjYU (Oh id SO pay good money for one of those!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g10Pl51TIMo (a move game like this with a moving board or something (like that skateboard game has) would be really cool

I find it ironic that there is a ski game which looks fun - but is not move capable (the vancouver 2010 )

why is it the games that to me would be much better with move than a wireless controller - are not being remade with move functionality??

it also seems in nz anyway that what sports games there are for ps3 move - are not stocked on the shelves - i go look every now and then hoping something that will convince me my ps3 and move was not a $900 waste of money will come out and its just more more and more role playing war type games...  im sure ther are people who love that - but even fr them surely a million is enough to choose from and some time could be spent on games that people who dont want to play only war games where you shoot dark figures in a dark unrealistic looking post apocalyptic world....

If i am wrong on the above feel free someone (please, anyone!) to reply letting me know where I can get some of the sorts of games i want to play with my move?

I hav also heard criticism that the games have great graphics and effects but are low on the actual content and i would agree with that from what ive seen so far....

Id like  the wii games, with the ps3 move effects and game control...
