Hi , i have just bought "the shoot" and a little gun adapter , you can line it up perfect and start to have good accurate fun but if you move the controller really quickly then the aim goes off centre to the left or right by quite a way and stays that way, if i re-calibrate then its perfect again? , is this what people call "drifting?" , is this a common fault? or should i try fiddling?
cheers

Did you try it? And if so did it stop the drifting?
mine is off and it still drifts.
both my wands have different firmware and both will drift regardless of how much lighting there is or if the sensor is switched on or off.
the initial calibration and drift thread from when the move was released recomended that its best to switch it off.
I have no idea what games actually use it as a calibration tool as each game has its own setup. I did discover by pure chance that my sports champions calibration issues can be often down to the orientation of the controller. you absolutely must have the move button facing directly forwards or you get a calibration error.
move is exceptionally sensitive and games will adjust for rotational calibration too.

I can literally point the move directly in the center spot on the calibration screen of time crisis and house of the dead. NOT move the controller in any way and the onscreen cursor will simply drift to the left (why always left ?)

mine still does that :''(
its most likely software based as not all games drift.
when i play "The fight" I have trouble with my right hand continually losing the tracking but the left hand tracking perfectly. The shoot, Time crisis and house of the dead have all had the drift effect. I found playing with HOTD with the cursor removed to be totally unplayable.
Sports champs STILL has calibration problems and will frequently fail calibration
Start the party appears to have a depth issue and will track across the screen without trouble but cannot seem to figure anything out when the controller gets closer the screen :/
I'm still happy with my move and its always great fun to play with. The kids love it and that's very very important.

I agree , its because i am a gamer and demand perfection at every step , but my boy does'nt give a damn and my mate came and played the shoot amd did'nt notice it at all , he loved it (yes.... i did say...the shoot , he's from clacton you see!).
